well, im thinking about doing a downpipe. i need some help or advice. i think what im doing is basic tune up. im thinking about getting a new header, a high flow cat conv, a custom downpipe and exhaust system. what type of brand is best for what im getting? are all of these good for my car? im also wondering if i could get the car to rumble. is that possible for my celica? i've seen subaru and evo's that rumbles and i was wondering if anyone has done that or if it's possible. im also looking for new rims, shocks or coil over. does anyone have any suggestion of what i should get or any type of brand? im quiet new to all this tuning. i would really appreciate if someone would help me. i've found a few sites for what i have in mind but they're in the high range. im wondering if anyone has any good sites that i could find anything cheaper and more affordable. -john |

it was the timing belt, and the tires weren't balance out, right now i have a clicking noise when i shift.. im thinking it's the clutch because it happens only after i shift or clutch. but im not sure yet, the clutch doesn't seem to have wear out yet. |

QUOTE(CelicaQT @ Mar 7, 2007 - 4:04 AM) It could be your drive shaft. I just had this problem, it's been ongoing for the past 6moths but got worse this past week. Got it looked at during the summer and it was wearing. As I accelerated above 30mph i got this sudden vibration. Replaced my drive shaft and problem solved. Signs to look for: torn rubber boot covering the knuckle. It was vibrating because the boot was torn and the grease basically "dried" out. -Christee- thank you, i'll be sure to take a look at that. |

QUOTE(Toyoca @ Mar 7, 2007 - 1:43 AM) alignment? no he just got his alignment done, it's accurate QUOTE(My2Celi @ Mar 7, 2007 - 1:48 AM) i think thats ur bearings, happened to me before. If you like to see if it's ur bearing, jack up your car and see if there's any play in the wheel. Sometime its not all that accurate, i took my whole spindle out and actually was able to wiggle my hub. i could try that to my uncle's car then, but would the dead shocks have any effect on it? |

my uncle just bought a celica recently, now the car shakes or vibrate a lot. this happens mostly when we are driving above the speed limit of 15 and give it gas. the only issues that the car has right now is dead shocks. what im thinking of is the bearings.... but im not sure and want to discuss it on here. i just want to see if anyone of you guys here have this problem and may help me figure what is wrong. thank you -john |

I have a 6gc and my shocks are dead, and I also need springs to lower the car. I'm having trouble looking up on the net for these parts, no luck finding any sites with the 6gc that I could find, anyone mind helping? Give me a few links to go to, to find shocks, and springs. |
