your old flex is welded on so you would still need a pipe that connects your flex to your headers and your cat to the flex. or if you found a way to to heat up the old pipe enough to "unweld" your old flex from the pipe. but since your old flex joint is welded on and the one your talkin about is like a clamp on, youd still need the rest of the piping

this is a OEM flex pipe for a 2.2L 94 GT, i dont know if yours is 2.2L and im guessing since its a 6th gen it will fit your 99 but the same company makes one for the ST and all i had to do was unbold the old one and this one fits right in.

i had to disconnect all my ground wires from the transmission to change my clutch and now i have to reconnect them but wasnt sure if it mattered exactly where they went since they are just ground wires. i know there are two in the front of the tranny, one of them being to ground for the batter but im not exactly sure which one it should be.

batter = battery

QUOTE(95CelicaRacer @ Mar 5, 2007 - 7:42 PM)

The right side has a locking ring on it, and it can be a pain to remove. If you can get something to jerk on it suddenly, it will eventually come out. smile.gif

what do you mean by, jerk on it suddenly?

im trying to remove the driver side drive axle from the transmission and it wont budge. its a 95 st, 7a-fe 1.8L. i already removed the axle from the hub but cant get it out of the transmission. it will move a little bit in and out of the transmission but nowhere close to coming out. is it bolted down somewhere? or is there a clamp thats holding it in or should i just try and pry it out. im afraid of breaking something if its still being held in by something.

Im new to the forum and im sure some of you guys had to replace your clutch. I have a 95 celica st that needs a new clutch. I bought an Exedy OEM clutch to put in but ive never had to replace a clutch before so i was wondering if you guys could help me with a walk though on how to do it. I saw the video posted on how to put the clutch in but it doesnt really talk about how to take out the transaxle and put it back in. Any tips or pointers that you guys could give would be appreciated. Also, ive been looking around the forum to see if this has been discussed already but hadnt found much. If there has could anyone post a link to the thread. Thanks.

Yesterday i was driving about to merge onto I-95 when i noticed that i couldnt accelerate in any gear. I was in fifth going about 65 and when i accelerated the RPMs went up to about 5000 and the car wouldnt accelerate. I Put it into fourth and the same thing happened so i pulled onto the shoulder and turned the car off and back on. Then i put it into first and tried to merge back into traffic but the car wouldnt move. I shifted into first and the RPMs went up tp around 4 or 5k and the car just sat there. I tried again and no luck. I then got towed back home but not sure if it was the clutch that went or what exactly it is that happened. I have a feeling it's the clutch but not sure if I need to replace the entire clutch, just the master cylinder, slave cylinder, etc. or if not the clutch at all. Has anyone else had this problem or have any ideas whether its the clutch or some other problem?
