I am waiting on the econnomy to be right at the crappy point right before gas hits 4 bux a gallon. A lot of people have their cars marked up higher with the tax bonus checks and what not. |

QUOTE(lagos @ Feb 16, 2008 - 11:54 PM) You mean your not doing that quad turbo and super charged awd celica using the intelligent awd system from a skyline? My cousins, uncles, friends, friend said he could do it for 50bucks! HAHA. LMAO. That's funny. Yeah I own a Celica. Unfortunately it's currently out of commission due to a Suburban. |

Yeah, everything involves time and work. If you're gonna set something aside for a project car or for asomething to play around with, you're not gonn ahve it be your main ride. And in the real world, things do take time and work. That's life. Yeah, investing in a full supra would be the btter bet. But then again, if you're gonna invest that kind of money then you would wanna start from a greater power base anyway, besides a ****ing tuner. How about this for truth. If you really wanna go big, go for some muscle and balls. They have more potential, cost less for the same bang, and you can do more with them without custom fab because you can find parts anywhere. how about that for real life you cunts! |

Alright man. I will tell you this. There is no such thing as a non-feasable egine swap. anything is possible. In order to do the I6 Swap, you are going to have to cut a tranny tunnel and you would have to not only find the motor and tranny, but you would also have tog et a hold of the whole drivetrain. You are looking at a 6 thousand dollar investment. If you are looking for a lot of power or something that noone else has done, look into putting a v8 into your celi. A 350 out of a stingray, or mid 90's camaro would suit your needs and your pocket book better than attempting the I6 swap. You can usually pick up the whole camaro for about 3 grand. And I would pick up like an old DX or something for a daily driver for the months of work you're planning on doing. Just my input tho. Anything is possible if you put your mind and tools to it. |

When I had my escort, there were dozens of parts you could swap in between ford motors. I had a 1.9 with a 2.0 head, throttle body out of a t-bird, and a map sensor from a ford focus. My question is...What parts are able to be swapped from other toyota motors into the 7afe? |

I work at wal-Mart TLE and we wont even recommend those. The kdw's arew apretty tire thats cheap, dont get me wrong. but the outside tread blocks cause uneven wear under heavy cornering, the lack of sipes causes uneven wear in wet climate, and the unnatural tread design causes uneven wear over long periods of driving time. The sidewalls are strong. but they also have been known to start adn crack prematurally! |

N/A, Turbo, Supercharged, and NOS Either way, you are going to be spending a good bit of money for a proper set up on a high mileage motor. I will start with NOS. Great cheap HP boost right. If you look at the big picture,.... On a high mileage motor, you are gonna need a rebuild after every 15,000 miles. All of those gaskets and all of that work starts to add up. On top of using fuel management for proper firing.; You can use NOS without fuel management, but you increase the risk of detonation. Next comes Supercharging. You are pull power to make power. Although, this would seem inefficient, ithe amount of power taken to make more power can be greatly decreased with the use of smaller pullies, standalone management, etc.Superchargers are also expensive, though. MmmMMmm, turbos. I prefer turbocharging to anything. It is cheap, efficient, and easy. With a lil bit of research and math, you can take a great turbo system and make it blow. If you have the money, kits for our cars start at 2,400. If you are lacking on cash, you can put one together from used parts and ebay for about 600. Again, research makes this efficient. N/A. You will spensd more time and money on your motor then any other option. But, you will eventually be doing an essential N/A set up, just about neway you go. I started working N/A and am now working toward turbo. Every vehicle I have had were all N/A. Harder to tune, but you can get a greater increase in HP. Of course, you can run NOS on a supercharged, turbocharged, or NA engine. But, increased heat means increased maintenance. I also have to say, I am not putting down any for of tuning. Just presenting my views. One mans vice is always gonna break some other guys perspective. |

Alright, So I have got my turbo, my blow off, my intercooler, my piping, my new O2 sensors, bypassed egr valve, bored out intake manifold, low compression pistons, adjustable cam gears, advanced my timing, high pressure injectors, high pressure fuel pump, new cam, deleted my a/c, but i have yet to find a turbo manifold so i can get everything up and running. Anyone have one for sale, it would be much appreciated. |
