I run on Michelin Pilot Exalto 2 205/50R16. Very pleased with them in both dry and wet conditions.

Hi guys! I have been driving my celica for almost 4 years now and i have noticed that after long trips my lower back starts to hurt... I know bucket seats + sports car combo isn't exactly meant to be comfortable for long journeys but i was wondering if you are experiencing anything similar. I love the "sitting in the car" as opposed to the "sitting on the car" feeling so I have adjusted the (stock) seat to the lowest possible setting. In addition, i have noticed that the lowest part of the back of the seat forms a small curve towards where it would normally meet the bottom part of the seat. Now that the bottom part is lower towards the floor that curve is pushing my back

That switch adjusts the brightness of the instrument panel lighting.
Watch at the left side of steering wheel:




I guess someone broke the switch and replaced it with that stick. Don't you have that switch in your cars??

It's not just about reducing weight. The camshafts need to be properly balanced and i think grinding would affect that. Other than weaken them..

One "problem" with the vvtl-i is that the "lift" doesn't last as long as the honda vtec. The hondas have higher redline i think...
What would you say if we compare the beams with type-s??

Not all automatics are the same... You can't compare a 10 year old auto transmission to a state of the art Ferrari F1 or Dual clutch one (semi-automatic)
Latest autos have "billions of settings" to adjust it to your driving "mood". Older transmissions used to take ages to shift and more important: you wouldn't want the gearbox to upshift when you'r around a corner building revs... That said, they would never miss a shift though...
I believe that an experienced driver could easily outperform the older autos. As for the newer high tech ones, it is a whole different story...

P.S. I believe the gearboxes they use on drag races are sequential and not automatic... I can't believe an automatic can take all than torque...

You can do a search at youtube for drag race in car videos and see that most drive stick and have a shift light.

I love my Celica because it puts a smile on my face every time i drive it.

Especially on mountain roads.
