I have a e56 tranny from a st202(almost the same as e154) this has a electrical speedometer sensor, I need it to be mechanical.
In the EPC I can find two adapter's that might fit, it is the one for e153 (mr2-turbo) and e150 (st185) they have the same numbers of teeth and everything seems to be the same except the part number.
Whitch one should I go for?

evneveik, does that trans have a limited slip differential? I didn't see any mention of it in the EPC.

Yes, it have. But it seems like the EPC have it mixed because everybody I have talked to who have ss suspension have the e56 and also have lsd...

Why would they mount lsd into a "normal" s54 and have a non-lsd in the stronger e56 transmission?

Well, I have a transmission from a Celica st202 SSS, the tranny has bigger axles just like the ones from GT4/alltrac and Mr2-Turbo, and it has lsd and by looking at my 2000 epc it can't be any other transmission than the E56.

I'm trying to fit it into a st182 but have a hard time getting the axles, the plan is to use Mr2-Turbo inner axles and GT4/Alltrac outer axles. Clutch plate and throw-out bearing is also bigger than the ones for st182

The only E56 I know of is in the late 88-91 Camry Alltrac...

I know that st202 with superstrut suspension came with the e56 so the beams probably came with it to...
It seems to be the same as a e153 tranny with a fwd change mechanism.

Im putting a 94mod e56 transmission from a st202 into my st182, but the problem is that the driveaxles from the st182 does not fit into the tranny, is it possible to use the st202 axles (if I can get them anywhere) are they the same length and will they fit the hub's in the st182?
Or can I use a combo of mr2-turbo and st185? And how can I find out if my e56 has lsd?

Edit: I forgot to mention that the e56 looks just the same as a e153...

Anyone?

The e56 tranny is the same as the e154 (st205) but for fwd-only
