It looks like the 3.0 v6 would be a good fit but is it wired like the 6gc?

Thanks for the help guys! Maybe now I can get this car on the road! I have had it for 2 weeks now and still have not been able to drive the car. Still not bad, I only paid $500 for the car because it had a rod knock but the car still looks new. Now I just need to work out the bugs!!!!

Jk about the chevy filter! I have an oem on order and will pickup after 12pm. As for the car I do have big plans for the engine so a bigger pump will be needed with external fuel regulator. I just priced a pump at AZ it $139.95, so how much for after market? I want +600hp, looking for turbo and nos kit now.

Swaped a 2.2 for another 2.2 and had some problems because it was my first time to work on a toyota. Well I got the car put back togeather and it will run but if you touch the gas it will die. At times you can slowly increase the rpms but it is touchy. I checked all the vac lines and replaced the hole throtal body with the one off the other motor, still no diff. so not I am thinking fuel filter or pump. If filter I plan to upgrade to a newer chevy filter for better flow and it cost about $30+ cheeper. What would a better pump cost? Or could it be something diff?

I see your point. I do all of my own work and my family owns a machine shop so the engine that is in the works will pust the limits of the 2.2 block. The engine will be far from stock as well as the turbo. I just know that I will need to get rid of all that extra exhaust.

Why would it be pointless? Turbos love 3" exhaust or are you talking about the Y, or the fact that duals look good. Do you think that I would loose power do to the 2.25 pipe after the Y, correct me if I am wrong but the two 2.25" = 4.5" which means more flow!

I had about the same ? but I have a pretty stock GT for now but plan to go turbo, how would the car act if I put 3" from the header and did a Y past the rear with 2.25 duals? I just want to get the exhaust done for now but do not want to pay twice for it.

I just bought a 94 GT and I do not care what the milage is because the car I am driving now gets between 6-8 mpg. Its a 1969 SS chevelle with an LT4 pushing out 425 rwh. Thats why I got the celica. Be happy with what you have because it could be worse.

I have 7 plugs behind the console and 1 under the heater box and I checked, unpluged, and pluged back in about 8 times last night. I have also checked the main box under the hood. I have ran out of ideas.

I stayed up last night putting a reman 2.2 in and now I have a major problem, many of my electronics have no power. The car will not turn over, turn sig do not work, sunroof will not open, windows will not lower and the list goes on. I have checked all the fuses and relays and all of my conections under the hood and dash. Has anyone had this problem after an engine swap?

I was thinking more in the lines of a newer 4cyl. A v6cyl would add waight and engine cooling problems and alot of extra fab work.

What is the best motor to put in a 1994 GT besides the 2.0 turbo? Does toyota have any newer motors that would make the king of swaps? I want to make alot of power with turbo and nos and am planing to put this in a GT4 clone.
