ABS light used to stay on after it would randomly go off before I cleaned the sensors. ABS lights don't go off anymore now after it activates below 10mph.

I'll check codes when it's daytime again.

It's been a problem that has been progressively getting worse. A year ago, my ABS would randomly go off while braking. Last week, the ABS would kick in randomly more and more often. I checked my fluids and it's topped off at MAX. I checked each sensor to see if there was gunk on it or something. Turns out out the front two sensors were covered with gunk. Cleaned it up and put it back in. Now ABS kicks in under 10mph consistently. So I'm asking, whats the problem? I'm pretty sure I put the sensors back in correctly.

I wished I could have composed it better but I was running short on time. I was traveling from LA to SF but decided to take the 101 up and jumped onto Highway 1 at SLO. This was taken at some random point in Big Sur and there was a new moon going on so no interference there. Shot with a Nikon D300 @ 30s f/2.8 ISO3200. I didn't know how to light up the car without blowing the shot until I accidently pressed the alarm remote. The EXIF is still intact. I thought it was cloudy but it turns out it was the Milky Way!

It was the oil pump seal. Replaced with along with the timing belt and water pump. Runs good as new now!

Thanks guys for the help. I really appreciate it.

I'm not really sure how it broke. I never felt a difference in steering since I got the car 2 years ago so it might have been broken since then. PS fluid hasn't dropped either. I'll update this thread as repairs progress.

Yesterday, I noticed my oil levels dropping fast and white smoke coming off under/behind engine. There is also a large pool of oil under the passenger side of the car. The oil pan seems fine. Here are some pictures I took.

edit:
I think something broke off.

more info, I barely lose any oil when parked but massive amounts after driving.

While replacing my water temp sender, I broke off the bottom piece of the valve. Top tube is still attached. Will this affect driving? What does it even do?

The main problem is that it randomly steams off. It's been running fine so far with the thermostat change.

I changed the thermostat and it's been running fine so far. Still at 33% though. Maybe its the gauge thats reading wrong?

I'm not sure if I have a leak or not. I don't see anything underneath the car after parking overnight. My car is randomly losing coolant. I fill the radiator up to the top and when I check the next day, it could be still close to topped off or almost empty. When it's almost empty, I get steam coming out when the temp gauge reaches halfway. My car usually reads 1/3 of the temp gauge when it's at running temp.

1. Should it be running at 1/3 gauage?
2. Any ideas why I am having random loss of coolant?

Hi, I just recently bought a 6g Celica and decided to join this community. I'm no good at introductions so i'll cut to the chase. I'm having a problem with my trunk. When I unlock it from the outside or pull the latch from the inside, it doesn't go up by itself. It needs to be lifted manually. When it's up, it's very stiff until it gets near closing position.I think the problem is with the struts holding the trunk up but I'd like a confirmation before doing anything. Is the problem with the struts?
