ST205 owner a few hours away from me uses 225/45/18 on his car and swears by 45 series tires. I had 40's on my 18's and they still looked like elastic bands. 45's FTW. Guess i will give it a try, a friend of mine swears by 45 series tires as well but he has a honda accord and plus hes from new york and the roads are terrible up there, dont know what i will try. Im good at gambling so i might go ahead with the 45s and try my luck, i just dont wanna look like im about to rally race or something lol, thanks for the info. |

Time has come to get some new tires, currently running 215-35-18 and they suck, already bent one rim from a pothole, luckily the rim still holds air. I've read the forums and searched as well, just wondering has anyone tried a 225/45/18. I have tein ss coilovers so raising the car or lowering as much as I can isn't a problem. I've seen a couple of cars running 225/40s and they don't look too bad, what do you think stick to the 40s or maybe try the 45s. Rims are 18x8 with a +40 offset. |

Anybody out there run into a snag when doing there rear disc conversion, everything was going good until i was hit with there are two different rotors that the gt model came with through the years of 94-95 and 96-99, basically all the specs on the two rotors are the same except for the height difference, one rotor is a 2.53 and the other rotor is a 2.56, i guess i can ask the guy i bought the setup from what year assembly it is but other than that right now im stuck at a crossroad. I mean its a +3 difference in the two rotors but i would think that would make a difference assuming the parking assembly has to fit over the rotor but then again is too much the way to go, what do you think? |

Cmon on dude i like to bitch, get serious, my only thing was this i was expecting the merchandise on a certain day didnt come, sent an email to ya you told me the problem, and then after that no communication whats so ever, sending full payments and nothing comes is a serious deal to me. Yes i received a refund but its called honesty, our deal went sour, so my negative feedback is my experience with you, its nothing personal. |

I know when i recently put my teins on it might be a good idea to get some front and rear strut mounts while youre in there, you dont need too but i went ahead and changed them anyways, i think i had 215,000 on the car and i didnt want anything to happen after the upgrade, its a good setup you will definately like it, along with some sways, endlinks, and def some sticky tires you will feel the difference. |

Yeah i thought i was the only one that a deal went sour with this seller as well, he was supposed to get me a rear disc setup for my drum to disc conversion he tells me that he needs a full payment so he can go to a junk yard and pull the parts , then he tells me i will receive it on a certain day and nothing comes, i email him and he tells me the car has been crushed in the yard and hes going to another yard to pull the part for me, yeah like i would believe that crap, dont do business with this seller hes a shadey guy and you will lose your money if youre not on top of things, BUYER BEWARE ABOUT THIS GUY. |

So i did some searching on the forums and came across a little info on slotted vs cross drilled and slotted rotors, now before i have this thread in a war going back in fourth between the two, now i know that many say to get a slotted rotor with some nice pads, and some say they have drilled and slotted, me asking around it looks liked drilled and slotted are more for looks although the holes are great for wet weather and the slots emit gases, but i hear that these are more prone to cracking and they are the least reliable. Im looking into getting slotted rotora rotors with some ebc pads, between the red pads or the ultimax pads, let me know what your experiences have been with the two, i know i will save money if i get some brembo blanks and get some nice pads. |

From what i have heard ksports are a pretty good coilovers for a legitmate price, i think you can get them for around 600 to maybe 700 bucks, i was gonna go with the ksports with the option of the upper pillowball mounts. I think they were on backorder so i went ahead and just got some teins, with twosrus endlinks front and rear, along with supsension tech front and rear sways, and a front strut tower bar, you def can feel the sways work. If you are on a budget i would go with either the ksports or maybe som eibach lowering springs with koni shocks, kybs, or bilsteins etc, along with front and rear sways and the endlinks. But it really depends on what you are really looking for in your setup, remember if you plan on doing shows and you want to slam your car all the way down then go with coilovers or if you just want straight performance, to me coilovers will always be stiffer than lowering springs, i find that in all my friends cars that have lowering springs there extremely bouncy, but everyone has their own preference you know, hope this was a help. |

How much is it for the temp knob color change, with the blue led behind the fan buttons, and the defroster buttons etc including shipping, will you supply an actual ac unit if we dont want to ship you ours, i think this is a must for the car. |

So ive done searching around and looked on a couple of older topics about the rear disc swap but from really couldnt get the information i needed. Now i know you need rear backing plates, rear brake calipers, rear rotors, and rear pads, but do you get these fora 6 generation gt model celica. Ive also read that you need the parking brake cable or assembly, has anyone just went to there local toyota dealership picked up the parts and installed, i know getting from the dealer is going to be on the expensive side but what do you think i should do. Any information would gladly be helpful. |

Falken RT-615 or Proxes T1R Yokohomas or Bf Goodrich G-Forces, i have the g forces on my celica and they stick really good, along with a nice suspension setup you can take turns like a pro. |

Anybody run into a problem with the kyb front and rear strut mounts and there tein ss coilover setup. I just priced check at the dealership and the front strut mounts are like $160 each and the rear strut mounts are like $104 each, compared to kyb strut mounts that are $60 a piece i think. I know they say the kyb are supposed to be an oem standard equipment item, right now im looking at paying $500 bucks from the dealership or pay $240 and go with the kyb's, i definately want to go with the kyb's but i dont want to run into a problem with the install. Any info is helpful. |

A good setup i think would be ground control coilovers with koni yellows or kybs,or k-sports coilovers, these two setups i would recommend if you are on a budget, or if you want to go all out, go with the tein ss coilover setup, the teins are a little on the expensive side like $1300 to $1600 bucks, but the k-sports i think you can get them for maybe like $700 or $800 bucks, i know its a company called www.erzperformance.com. A good coilover setup with front and rear suspension tech sway bars and front and rear twosrus endlinks, along with a j-speed or cusco front strut bar, your celi will definately handle like a champ, and you will really enjoy those back roads. |

So im finally waiting for my tein ss coilovers to arrive along wiht my sus tech front and rear sway bars, anyone out there what particular drop are you running in the front and the rear, i know the front gives a 2.4 drop and the rear is a 1.4 or something like that, i went to the tein website and they say not to go lower than there standard settings. Will you mess up the coilover if you go lower than there standards. |

Anyone heard the rumors of the celica being revived in 2009 or maybe 2011. Im hearing that subaru is going to be doing the build on two platforms are rwd gt with 200 hp and a gt4 version turbocharged with 300 hp, sounds like a good look to bring the celica back but i dont know about another manufacturer building the car itself. |
