Hey folks it s been a long long time since ive been on here. Lookin for some advice on a Timing belt change. Whats the interval on a timing belt change for the Beams 3SGE. I've last had it changed at 156,000KM, Iam now pushing a whopping 254,000KM (Still going strong), so iam near on a 100,000KM between changes....should I change it now? is the interval on the BEAMS BELT 100,000KM or 100,000 MILES??? Cheers Folks. |

should be easy finding a replacement bulb see your local toyota or auto store, might pay to get 2 since sometimes they can be slightly different colours it can be tricky is getting the bulb/socket out sometimes... and then getting it back in k so I dont have to remove the light housing itself?? because ive unclipped the wiring from back of the bulb and there is like a block sort of rubber backing on the light with a hole only big enough for the 2 prongs on the back of the bulb to pertrude thru??? sorry guys ...bit confused!!! so basically does the bulb come out from the back of the light unit or pull out from the front of the light ie where the glass is (obviously once glass is removed) sorry people.... |

Thanks Edophus, you sure thats the part number for the BEAMS 3s-ge?? cos apparently the belts are different lenghts...its the one for BEAMS i need. and Rusty no, the pistons didn't hit, just gettin the job done for peace of mind. have the car 3 years now, jap import, not 100% sure when belt was done last, like a said..just for peace of mind yeah pretty sure, i cant check the database to double check at the moment but thats from the beams forum parts list so i'm sure it will be right, its the same part number as the altezza rs200 timing belt as they are the same. Thanks man, thats great, problem solved, they ordered the belt through main toyota dealer...fitted it today..ready for collection tomorrow. happy days. thanks again. |

Hey, silly question, but when it comes to engine maintenance I am a bit of a novice but I intend on giving my 3S-GE beams a basic service, oil, filters fluid top up etc. Just wondering will an oil filter good for a standard 3S-GE work for the beams 3S-GE?? Like I said, probably a really silly question but there it is..... Cheers |
