Really good turn out and great pics guys and gals!!! Collin sent me the link of the meet and I was suprised to see an all-trac (Vadar) that I recognized. Its always nice to see a bunch of clean Celicas together at one time. We have a meet in my area on July 19th in Champaign, IL. It is not just a Celica meet, but there are always a bunch that show up at the Speed-Source meet. The v6 swap looks great Collin, how does it perform in what was called spirited driving that was mentioned above? |

Still no V6's here collin. We did a Tercel used engine the other day, but that doesn't help. Hope you find a solid engine package for the swap. Have a Merry X-Mas and keep us posted. |

MASKED MAN wrote: and then it starts to look bad once you own one and start working on it haha. What can I say, owning an all-trac is like going out with a high maintainance woman. You know she's gonna take all of your money and all of your time. Once your friends have been around her, they don't come around any more. But its a sickness, you just can't let go!!! |

So I am driving the family back in the Avalon from an early thanksgiving get together on sunday. Cruising at 75+ mgh I spy a red 5th gen celica ahead on I-74. I bump up a couple mph to gain on it quicker and think that its either a mirage or a gas tank hanging down...I tell my wife "I think its an all-trac"!!! As we get closer, she notices the custom Ohio license plates and confirrms that it says "alltrac" on the back. So at 75 mph I start honking the horn to try and get the drivers attention. He doesn't hear me for a long time, but finally looks over and has this what the heck do you want look on his face. I try to yell, but the speed and wind kept any words from being exchanged. So my wife starts hanging out of the car and doing the talking for me. So we exhange basic hellos and say see you on the web...and keep driving. He followed us for quite a while and was passing us when we were coming up to a REST AREA. I waved for him to turn in as he passed the traffic ahead of us and he merged quickly into the parking area. His name was Andrew and it was either a 92 or 93 ST185 with 180k. He has only owned it for a couple of months and says its all stock. It was pretty clean and looked like it ran pretty well. We are going to stay in touch and hopefully get together at a meet next year. So if you see a red Celica all-trac in Columbus Ohio, it could be Andrew aka ZERO SNTY. He says he frequents 6GC for info and help. |

6GCelica members, All I can say if freakin WOW! You guys and gals came out of nowhere and blew me away with your generosity. The gift basket has lots of things that we can use and that saves us tons of cash. The check was a real suprise and I loved the 2 cards. You can not believe the relief that you gave us with the gift basket and check. I have been out of work since early May and have no disibility benefits ...so you have really helped me and my family in a time of need. My family and I really appreciate your kindness and generous gesture. Thanks to all that donated to the "oh my achin back" fund! So in a nutshell, 6GC members rock! Thanks for everything my fellow Toyota enthusiasts... Toyota_Todd & family |
