if your car does not smell prestone, this is maybe heater cable or heater valve rod broken (near the firewall)

I did front, rear bushings in polyurethane as well the polyurethane engine mounts, I also changed my shocks for new KYB GR2. It took about 12hours.
The car feel new, but needed an alignement.
It corners incredibly well and engine/clutch/steering response is tight, fast and precise.

These thing will even force me to put stickier/wider tires next year because the car is now too stiff for my Exclaim UHP 225/45/17.

P.S.: These are not a steal at 250$, this would cost more than 1500$ of parts at the dealer. I called him and he wanted 500$ for only 4 rear bushings (they come with useless new rods).

It is very rare that I hear a E153 break on the gear and not synchros or bearings. If your synchros were good, this is abuse or front jumping or bad shifting. A gear like that can surely hold 800-900hp if you put power to it when it is fully engaged. E153 needs slow shifting IMO

Gen 3 E153 got weak synchros on 1st and 4th, Gen 2 E153 got weak synchros on 2nd and 5th
This problem can lead to wear on gears.

My Gen3 E153LSD didn't work well with synthetic tranny oil, it grinded in 4th and the 1st was hard to get in
So I changed it with pennzoil synchromesh and it is like a new tranny.

Try that in your new tranny setup, this lighter oil is like magic and offer a good protection on bearings as well: change it every year because it's dino oil and not synthetic...
You can also try to add a small cooler instead of the small recirculation hose in the base of the gearbox, which also help bearings a lot.

possibly that is a coupler, it don't show when you are not boosting and it opens and leak air on boost, check them all having them in your hands.
very hard to find when they are on the piping, my experience tell.

procharger don't have oil or water circulation, they use their own oil(6kmiles durability ) and no water cooling, so they are very easy to install with good adjustable brackets and custom belt

performance isn't affected by 1 pound spacers
you only feel it on no torque civics or integra, if you know enough your car to feel it

each pound added in rotational resistance is equivalent to 3 static pound
our car weight is like 1000 times more than these spacers, so if you convert that to rotational resistance (3), you add like 15 pound max.

the big difference of rotational weight is seen when adding 8 pound per wheel when swapping to bigger wheels. In this case you add like 100pound to the vehicule

yes you would get especially less high end torque, if it is noticable

It is possibly your mechanic that retarded the cam timing by one teeth on the cam timing gear when he installed your timing belt

I tried to remove the valve cover before i posted anything and like it was said, same situation just minus the valve cover. but i will attempt the close hanger thing. i tried to use just the hook on it but it was not strong enough, but i will try to get it up enough to pull on both sides. Also i tought about mabe drilling into the pliers then putting screws in the drilled holes to maybe make handle type things. thought maybe it would help to pull them out a little. any opions on the drilling idea. let me know. and keep giving ideas please i need all i can get. thanks

If you can avoid it, dont drill. How exactly are the pliers situated in the tube? Because they should come out with little to no problem, sounds like they are stuck.

By looking down in the tube, standing in the front of the car, the plier would normally open side to side (fender to fender). not front to back bumper to bumper. But it looks like the pliers are jamed over the spark plug. i dont know how i did it but it is stuck in there pretty good.

QUOTE (domyz @ Nov 11, 2009 - 1:08 PM) *
If you have some CO2 try to freeze the pliers as they will shrink (with a small flexible hose)
It is very useful with bolts so maybe with that too

where would i get co2, and if i was to spray the co2 in the tube, is the wose going to be able to just get the pliers and not the tube as well. Because that would freeze and shrink the tube as well wouldn't it. I dont know just wondering

you get it at a good plumbing store, the tube will absorb more heat from the block than the pliers if you do it fast, so the pliers will shrink more. *Don't abuse of it, do it fast*

purchase them, try them and return them

with your eye and judgement you look the size of the hole and you wont need to this 4 times

Where did I talk of power output? You only seem to be wanting to argue with me. You seem to compare old superchargers with new turbos, read more. It is obvious that a turbocharged engine get better HP efficiency and higher HP output.

Do you have driving experience with these TWO setups, or with monitoring engine bay temps?
Response is quicker, more torque at lower RPM and underhood and charge air temperature are lower with a supercharger setup, end of discussion. I won't write the whole story about why I say that.

My choice for street/race is a turbo engine.
My choice for only racing would be a supercharged engine, based on experience and what I feel better for lapping.

For racing I would choose a supercharger , because of response and underhood/charge air temperatures

superchargers don't produce heat? perhaps you should read more.

QUOTE (playr158 @ Oct 22, 2009 - 12:56 PM) *
he's from Canada, superchargers work differently there

STS turbo is an inefficient and more costly way to turbo. WIll it work? yes.....is it the best idea/way to do it? NO

Superchargers don't produce as much heat as an exhaust bolted turbine. I wrote my post a little to quickly: It didn't mean that they do not produce heat but they produce much less heat than a turbo.
For better understanding I would say that for the same boost you need a much smaller intercooler core. And the underhood temperature will be also way colder
