Ya know, i think i actaully prefer the look of that than the actual eurou gt-four lip like i have on my car, its not as bulky, nice mod. yea, the bulkiness is the only reason i didnt buy the actual lip for the faff i will be chopping up a genuine TRD front bumper to fit the faff, that would be once the weather warms up a bit here next year |

7 degrees was the magic numer as per my mate who knows CFD as for making some for sale, i already tried it, if i was to make and sell 10 diffusers at very very min profit, it would cost £250 including postage, thats just UK postage, because of the high price, i didnt make any or sell any, price was so high cause according to a fiberglass expert the mould would cost to much to be made and bla bla, so i just droped the idea, but if anyone's lookingt o make their own, i can help, its simple enough |

i wanted the fins to be more meaty than just pieces of sheet metal, that woulda been too easy, so straight sheet metal for base and cut and rivet the fins on, as for difference, i did all the maths and flow tests in CFD to get the perfect fin angle and height of diffuser from ground, i dont thrash the car a lot so never noticed real difference, but if the needle does go t the right side of the speedo, the car feels as planted as ever |

then decided to move the battery to the boot for a SAI kit to secure the battery, used the battery strap and used washers to keep the straps from going through the MDF used the original - terminal, bolted one wire to the strut, one behind the boot plastic and one extra to the rear seal bolt, but before that, sanded the paint off to get good contact and covered in grease to stop rust now for the genius bit, gonna hinge the hacked off bit to keep the boot looking nice and tidy but have access to the battery, only problem is, the fuse i used blew up when i cranked the car also running a 8awg cable with my 110amp cable, got a 100 amp fuse from halfords i wanted the fuses as close to the battery as poss, also had a loot at the battery isolation switch, but it looked a bit tatty, so left it then the battery went it then added some matting to get some deep bass step 1 finished final fit then polished the engine bay up a bit funny thing, when i was polishing it, it was a bit dark so thought i'd hook my spare lamp up, got the lamp, but guess what, no bloddy battery  next step, new turbo, SAI, rocker cover gasket, cat gasket and custom cold air feed just a pic of what the engine bay looks like after all the work |

well here it is......started off at 12, went to B&Q, got 4 sheets of 12mm MDF, a jigsaw and some screws first off, made the false floor than after a lot of cardboard tempelating......came up with this fits nicely too than made a box for the subs, took the same measurements as of the base tube the subs are from screwed the box to the floor than after a lot more tempelating..... the garage looked a mess, and the old sub box than marked where i wanted the 6x9's to be 10 mins later took the top out and used some aquastec (whatever) carpet that i had left over from my mates car finally everything is in gonna be very creative with the little space after the brace....need to save up first but happy for now the HU was really bugging me as it was sitting a good inch on top of the dash surround panel, looked horrid :puke: and as i was off work today, had a go at making it fit better, first thought i'd fiberglass the old chopped up surround, but then, decided to hack the brackets, only needed to sand a bit of the surround down, the end result is really good, very pleased with it the red marker shows how it sat before the gap between the seats and the build was really bothering me , so decided to do this some measurements were taken cut and shut... working around the sub's amp a rough layout of how things were going to be i love it when a plan comes together the brace sits a bit tight with the amp, might adjust it a bit more tomorrow a minor tweek today, the amp was too tight with the brace...so sounds great, the ripspeed unit is awsome |

step 1: make a base using hardboard step 2: measure and cut some MDF fins set em at an angle of 7 degrees Step 4: add a bit of extension to ensure diffuser doesn't become an air brake step 5: take off and fastern all screws Step 6: Fiberglass the bastward with 2 layers now i'll let it dry for 24 hours before applying and body filler right, did some more fiberglassin....... but whats this ????? 2 diffusers ????? here's what really happened, used the wooden diffuser as a cast and made a full FG one, cause a wooden diffuser is to "BARRY", the FG diffuser is light as a feather, strong as steel......now gonna use some FG filler to smooth it out.......fits like a glove the amount of sanding to do was astranomical.......anywayz, enough wingin all sanded and smoothened and all painted, cleared three coats but no pic of that, looks the same looks sooooooo beautiful  looking at it, i feel as if i have made a baby :sofa: i want it in my living room, damn proud of it  cant look at it eoungh..... fitted pics enjoy...i love it |

A YEAR Later since am gonna be painting the lip, though it'd make it fit a bit better, so broke the fiberglass kit out again still got some sanding to do and then some body filler before painting, after i get bored with the lip i'll be doing the TRD bumper chop  remember the gaps between the lip and the bumper just under the indicators ?? well........... fit is 100% spot on, will be painting it tomorrow painted the lip today, finish is very good, well happy with it, but the paint is a little bit too bright red  the skirts are going to the body shop for some paint, i'll ask the guy to spray some on the lip too  |

today i got around to fitting the splitter, for a starter, it was a great quality finish, but was not a simple fit, first had to hack the top lip off, as the splitter was for a preface 202, then had to chop away some of the corners, and to top it off, had to shorten the whole length by 8 mm as after chopping the lip off to fit, it sat a bit higher and was too long....anywayz here's the pics the cut and shut job Right side fog light gap Left side Fog light gap and the corners the corners wrap around perfectly, but the middle bit is really bugging me, i'll take some proper picslater and post, personally i think it was a good laugh for a tenner, DAY 2: well, today turned out to be better than last night.....when i went to halfords in the morning, i noticed the lip wasn't exactly "spot on" got some body filler, came back and hacked the lip again to make sure i get a straight finish this time... when i removed the brackets, the trick had worked and the lip was now sitting as i wanted it to fiberglassed the huge gap, and sanded down the excess now that the lip was nice and straight, i decided to re-adjust the foglight corners very niceee.......I likeeee... than i noticed that the silicone from the TRD splitters wasn't letting the lip sit flush with the wings.... so than used bodyfiller to fill the odd bumps here and there.....hardly any filler was left over after sanding once sanded down, i used G5 to take the scratched from the bumper out, used some black paint i had to temporarily cover the filler the finish is nothing less than professional now just going to paint it red and we are done |

QUOTE(Rusty @ Feb 4, 2008 - 12:05 AM) nice, like looking into a mirror with my celica you should do what I'm doing, by tidying up the intake pendulm, wire brush, and maybe some sandpaper on the ACIS mount, and take the head shield off, and show off your stock extractors Is it easier to still with that HD clutch? nice SSII/I spoiler, would one like that fit on mine?? was thinkin of blingin my engine bay, just dont have the time now, with studies and job, definately on my "to do" list, the clutch is allright, but can be punishing if there is too much grip.....as for the spoiler ....do u already have a spoiler on or are u lookin to get one? |

QUOTE(Daftboy @ Feb 2, 2008 - 2:09 AM) You can get the sidemarkers from http://www.procarparts.com but as for the front ones, they are not made. not entirely true mate....they are made, just not sold anywhere big like shops or ebay. "Easiest way to be sure if these are right for you is to check the coding on the lenses. If it it reads 'TOYOTA 20-347' etc. these are the ones for you Price is £67.50 inc pair of amber bulbs and 1st class recorded post" copied from the seller's post. so at £67.50 it turns out to be £132.87 a bit dere for indicators, dont u think, anyway, this is the seller's address, u might need to register to login and get in touch with him. pre-facelift clear indicators |

but if u connect it directly to the standard sensor, u'll never get an accurate reading, the figures will constantly jump from lean to rich, what u need is a wide band O2 sensor and gauge, if u have a narrow band gauge, that'll work with standard sensor, but like i said....messy readings... |
