I was looking for a diesel car, an Audi A3 or Seat Leon at a dealer, when I saw a Celica in the back of the store. I forgot about why I wanted a diesel and just bought my Celica. I don't regret it for a second. biggrin.gif

How did you guys paint the strut bar, or any metal parts?

Lightly sand them, then spraypaint or just spraypaint them?

I have a short power antenna. It's 18 inches long and mounting is easy.

I'm looking for a 3 point strut bar from TRD.

I'm not on a tight budget so if you can point me to one or know anyone who wants to sell me one for a decent price, let me know.

Is this one still for sale, how much with shipping to The Netherlands?

And is the repaired piece on the underside of the strut?

Will it fit over a 7A-FE?

I'm not on a tight budget, but can't find a 3-pt strut for a 93-99 on ebay.

So this is my option.

So apparently 6th gen and 7th gen front bars are interchangeable?

No, they're not.

I think you have to look at the pics in the ebay ad. The mounting points are different.
He's selling a strut for the 200-2008 model and one for the 93-99 model.

I saw this on ebay,

http://cgi.ebay.nl/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewIt...em=380095419861

and wondered if it was a good idea to get a stock strut bar and combine it with this 2 point strut bar.

Why is it much cheaper than a Cusco bar? Is it just the name or the quality of the product?

Has anyone else tried this bar, please tell me?

What sizes are there for space saver tires?
I have 205/55/16's, is there a 16" space saver available?
What is the width of the tyre?

I live in the Netherlands, but I don't know if it is legal to have them on my car.
Maybe if someone from the Netherlands can tell me....

As for getting rid of the spare wheel and putting in space saver, I'm not quite sure if that's the best idea. I've often thought about doing that in the past but you never know when that flat tire is gonna show its face and you don't have a spare with you kindasad.gif

A "space saver" is a very thin tyre just so you can drive home or to a garage, so I would have a spare with me I just can't drive very far with it.

I'm getting annoyed with that large bump in my trunk where my spare wheel is.
I can't put my tools or groceries iin the trunk without having to search for scattered groceries when I'm home.

Is it wise to get rid of the spare wheel or should I put in a "space saver"?
Is there even a 16" space saver on the market?

Oops! Sorry....didn't look at the previous posts.

Thanks tho for the pics, whatthe.

Is it easy to remove the stock shift boot and handbrake (maybe a how-to would help)?

It is very easy. for shifter boot plastic trim. Pull on the plastic hortizontally upwards and it should come off. Do keep in mind that the gear knob needs to be taken off for it to come out. From there you can change the shifter boot.

Once that is off you should see two screws either side of the plastic trim (this is under the shifter booth trim that you have just taken off) Take them off.

In your armrest compartment there should be two bolts that you need a socket wrench to take off. Do so.
Once that is done the whole armrest trim (that also goes around your ebrake) should be able to be taken off by sliding it horizontally up. Once that is done you can install your ebrake cover.

Hope i was clear

That's easy enough.

@vince, could you order me the combo (shift boot, armrest and handbrake boot) in black with red stitching?

Can someone post pics of a black with red stitching armrest, brake and shiftboot, please?

I'm interested in a combo of those 3.

I got projectors and I too had to modify them.

I've never seen projectors for LHD.

A) Tried to insert it, but it didn't work.

B) The plastic is too wide to try this method.

C) I'll try this..... maybe if I make little slots in the plastic and cut the lip so that they slide in the slots.

Thanks for the advice.
