QUOTE(Aus @ Nov 5, 2006 - 4:26 PM) QUOTE(Insanity-74 @ Nov 5, 2006 - 9:46 AM) I`d say you have nothing to worry about, in this cold weather, alot of condensation collects in the exhasut, and the cold air makes the exhaust gases more visible.......if it continues when the car is hot, then worry, if not....its just one of those things...mine dose it aswell and its running almost perfectly (for once) I was just standing out in the cold to see when the smoke comes out etc., for some reason it doesn't happen on startup (Cold start or after being warmed up), but about 15-20 seconds after, then gradually more and more white smoke on idle. with a bit of throttle their is even more white smoke. I was browsing on the GT4EC forums and it seems it could be something to do with the turbo........... lets hope not!! Giving the car in for a service on wednesday so I will wait and see what the mechanic says. sounds like your head gasket blew |

That looks pretty nice, especially for a '94. I would say go for it if at all possible |

I would have to agree on this one. I personally don't care for tiburons, they just aren't comfortable to me. |

Where is the fun in that? unless your just a car enthusiast. Half the fun with cars is building them the way you want it. This is just my opinion. |

Another thing, does your cooling fan come on at all? that could be another possibility If it don't, then it will run okay when your driving cause you have air flowing through, but when you stop, it will boil over. Hope this helps. |

take it to a shop. sounds like it could be your water pump and/or thermostat, or worst case the head gasket( not as likely). If it does it all the time, you will ruin your engine |

If your changing tire size to 16", you should hang onto your 14's and have good snow tires mounted on them. when the snow flys, you just have to take the 16's off and put your 14's on. when your not using them, put them in your garage. A good snow tire is Bridgestone Blizzacks. As far as a good summer tire there are several out there, my favorite one, as far as price goes, is the Potenza re950(also bridgestone). Hope this helps a little |

the hole on the right side is fine if you want wires running all over you engine compartment. Personally, I like the clean look. The only part of my amp power wire that is visible, is where it hooks to the battery. |

But you have to remember that the body is fiberglass, thus its a bit lighter than other cars of its era. the heaviest part of that car is the drivetrain, but its still got nice power |

Yea I heard that too, never found it and said screw it. you really don't need to cut anything, just poke a hole through the rubber. The hole in the rubber doesn't need to be very big at all. get a wire hanger, straighten (sp) it and tape the wire on the end very securly, and put it through the hole. go under the hood and pull the hanger very slowly through the hole. the wire gets really tight going through the hole which helps to seal it back up. |

It could be what CeliBria said, but it sounds like it may be the tie rod ends, inner or outer or both, most likely the outer, may have gone bad. you need to take it to a shop and have them check it out, especially if you are still learning what to do. if you do take it to a shop, have them show you what is bad, there are some shops that still like to rip people off |

Hey cruwl, I don't know if you've seen this one in the paper, but i'll type the ad for you. ____________________________________________________________ Toyota 1997 celica convertible soft top(no sh*t). Excellent condtion, low miles, beautiful, MUST SEE! call for details. 724-9043. ____________________________________________________________ Since it don't show the price, they probably want an arm and a leg for it, but the ad caught my eye. Hope you can find one soon. there are maybe a dozen of these cars in the valley, so they are hard to come by. Later, Joe EDIT: I guess if I would have reread the first post I would have seen that you found this one already, sorry about that:EDIT |

what I did was take a sharp knife, cut a very small hole in rubber at the base of the steering column, where it goes through the firewall and got the wire through that way. then put silicone around the hole to keep any moisture out. You have to do this from the inside of your car. hope this helps. |
