that would be bad ass. i had my dash set up but the lights are starting to go out and i cant find the right color that i had anymore. if yours are right and i can do my AC controls too that would be awesome.

what colors do they come in? do you have green? like i mean Bright green?

thats what i hear on all celicas, and from what ive seen on most toyotas period. i dont have an error code right now. i was hoping for a list of some kinda. however if no list can be found ill just post it when i have an error code and maybe you guys can help.

ok. I cant find a OBD1 reader anywhere. and i dont want to pay $75 everytime i get a check engine light. i know there is a trick to reading codes on OBD1 celicas with the Blinking CHECK ENGINE light. so my first question is this:

Is the system for all OBD1 in toyotas the same? meaning is it the same set up or system in all old toyotas?

my second question:

Does anyone have a chart or something with the list of codes that the ECU would give? something like......3 blinks means that the cylinder 1 is miss firing.

so i thought it was so impressive i thought it would share this

2 weeks ago my wife broke down on the side of our local highway, she had a 99 acura teggy

total engine failure. no reason why. just died

last weekend i was able to dig in and find out what happen, i thought she melted the belt but when i couldnt get the spark plug wires out i started to worry. so i jerked as hard as i could and final started pulling melted wires out of the head. took me 30 min to get the value covwer off and i more or less snapped a few to get it off. i find she melted the spark plugs to the plug walls. and the values had melted together. around that time i found out there wasnt a drop of water in the car. i could no water marks to show were a leak might have been. so the only thing i can think is that she has been burning water over the last year cuz i have never seen any sign that it was lossing water. i figure the car reached about 3000 degrees before it said Fcuk it! and gave up. suz everything is melted together. its awesome to see if i can get some pictures up i will.

so yah. on the hunt for a 4 runner! woot.

true. but its a toyota engine.

OOBE, dude. engines are the heart and soul of a car. you cant put a 3sgte in a Fox body Mustang and have it run like the 5.0 did. it completely changes the car.

the plates are registered to the PO Box.

well. i have an update. Really it couldnt have worked out any better.



Panda just got the money back for the TOM. After a $200 deductable, and a $500 buy back to get TOM back. Panda has $4000 left over to buy a new celica and he has TOM back for parts, which by the way not one Mod he has done to the car was damaged at all.

So the little Fcuker is going to get a brand new celi and make it just as good as TOM was.


The only bad thing is the police have stopped looking for the guy who hit him because he has no record and all they have is a name on a PO box.


so in the end its going to work out for him. now me and him get to strip TOM and make a new bitchin celi.

they traced him down to a PO box. so the police are still working on the guys name to hunt him down

LOL i sent a PM back. and ill say it here as well....your a vert nerd lol. thanks for the help man. Hes still working on getting the check for TOM but that white one was one he found that stood out.

it will not be rebuilt. Frame damage is beyond repair. Panda will be getting the car back and buying a new one though. using this one for parts. anyone in Houston know of some good Celis for sales let me know so i can pass it to Panda.

IM crushed about this one guys. this car has taken blood from me in the years panda has had it.

he was sitting at a stop light a and truck came up behind him and rear ended him which you can see. the fun part is that after hitting Panda the truck sled into the ditch and then took off. The car next to Panda saw the guy run and took off after him for Panda. The guy chased him through stop signs and traffic lights for 30 mins just to get the guys plates and a discription of the truck.

hey dude. i got a 5sfe auto tranny. off that old engine i bought for my project. i never did get ride of it. 60,000 miles on it. you want it?

me and panda are yes. but i imagine like the old days no one wants to come all the way down here. lol. so what would you guys want to do. Some one get Matt in on this.

well i am a little more flexable now so we should see if anyone wants to get together. old school style. lol
