Hey guys
yeah sorry about the short notice. This meet has been in the works for a little over 3 weeks
I originally planned it out as a Solaraguy.com meet but my buddy richard came up with the idea to invite other forums and just generally share the TOYOTA love. So far there are 20 confirmed members of solaraguy that will show up, an unconfirmed number of Toyotanation members and then whoever from 6gc wants to show up.
I hope this gives a little more info about the cars that will be there
Im sorry its such a vague description but we've not had alot of positive feedback, if any, from Toyotanation at all.
( Solara the unloved sibling of the toyota range or something? )

And yes to answer joe's question I am christina's brother. Some of you may remember her black celica with red "tattoos". Lol.

Hey guys its been a while sine I posted anything on here ( my sister is on this forum still I think... ) but some of the socal guys may remember me from a very very few times we've hung out. Anyway, I'm hosting a meet at Autobacs on the 14th of september and everyone is welcome to show up, show off your cars and have fun. This same thread has been posted on solaraguy as well as toyotanation.

MEETING AT: Super Autobacs
12645 Beach Blvd
Stanton, CA 90680
Time: 4:00PM

DAVE AND BUSTERS - ORANGE:

Time: 6:00pm

So we'll all assemble at the parking lot of autobacs at 4PM. There we will hang out, talk cars, take photos and just generally meet everyone until around 6PM. At that time we'll take a cruise over to Dave and Busters in Orange, CA where we will eat and end the night playing games and havin some drinks.



Meet will start in the parking lot of SUPER AUTOBACS in Stanton, CA
This parking lot has sufficient space to line up our cars and take some great snapshots. Also, for those of you who havent been, Super Autobacs is like an aftermarket car supermarket, with two stories of performance, audio, accessories and memoribillia. Meeting at 4PM, this will give everyone sufficient time to hang out, wait for others to arrive.

Shortly after 6:00pm, as the sun gets lower in the sky, we will enjoy a short freeway cruise over to Dave and Busters, giving a great oppurtunity for rolling shots. There, they will have a big parking lot suitable for all our cars at the Block of Orange. This should also give a good oppurtunity for sunset shots in a parking lot. For those of you who haven't been to Dave and Busters ( myself included lol ) I've heard its like a big arcade and resturaunt together. For those of us over 21 ( I think thats most of us? ) they also have a bar there.


So yeah this should be fun guys. Lets meet up and bask in the warm glow of Toyota Love lol

I'm not on this forum much so an attendence list and all that jazz really isnt needed. I'm just puttin this out there sayin you guys are all welcome to show up!

I cant believe F&F was the only mainstream movie ever to "reveal the street racing scene" to America. That was pure crap.
Oh... Marco I will tell you for sure by Monday I get my work schedule. It may not happen though because of the holiday season

when i raced the celica i didnt hold brake, i just waited for the light to change and stomped on it

solara has 2 trims SE and SLE
SE = cloth interior ( some had leather very few ) and your choice of 5sp E153 transmission or Auto
SLE = leather, moonroof, climate control etc but only came in auto
mines an SLE V6

Yeah this sounded really fishy to me but I spoke to several people who have attended previous meets and they said they were fine, just as long as you dont do dumb crap in front of or near the meet like race, peel out, rev up and just over if youre not obnoxious.

Yea, upgrading a car IS about personal preference but so many people impose their preferences on others. A prime example is that these BMW guys were clownin on my car sayin I drive "what is basically a dressed up camry which is a piece of **** in the first place". I think thats sad. I think its sad that people can't keep an open mind and are so narrow minded that they have to hate on other cars. Everyone has their taste. If you can see work being put into a car, you dont have to appreciate it but certainly dont talk **** and laugh just cause its not the same kind of car that you have. My friend jordan with the camry has put in more physical work into his camry than richard has into his widebody turbo solara, and all people can do is clown on his car. Thats weak. And besides that on this forum of all, I would think it would all be in the Toyota family right?

anyway I think its sad that people are so narrow minded. This is why certain groups of people will never along

if I was to bring friends that drive "show" cars ( turboback exhaust, JDM engine swaps etc ) would the cops roll them and camp out to give fix it tickets?

Thats probably 900-1000lbs heavier than 6gen celica
so stock solara v6 auto vs stock celica auto I got the celica by maybe... 3 car length to 60? I dunno youll have to ask my sister ( we had a tiny race when she bought her 6g celica GT )
