Hey guys, my power antenna is going out... again. I have no idea what the problem is, but the antenna motor keeps running after the antenna has gone all the way up. Is there a cut-off switch that is supposed to stop the motor when it reaches the top? This thing started gradually... at first it would only run a few seconds after the motor hits the full antenna extension - now it runs for about 20 seconds and seems to be running longer each time i start the car. Has anyone had this issue before? I took the antenna assembly apart thinking the gears were stripped, but everything looks fine.

Are there non-power antenna options available for the 6g celica?

Hey Guys, I have a set of KYB front shock cartridges (for rebuildable shocks). Part number 365092. Might fit other models - not sure. I was thinking to use these on my car but turns out mine has sealed struts. I bought each one for around $60, asking $90 for the set

Howdy Guys, I found out today that one of my rims (front right) has a decent crack in it so I need a replacement. If anyone has one and they're willing to ship it to College Station, TX 77845, let me know!

I had to swap out the bump stop, boots, and insulators too - you may not have to, but mine were all worn out. Also, some people go ahead and swap out the bearing in the front strut mounts

Howdy Guys, my stock intake box is pretty much falling apart, so i wanted to use that as an excuse to get a cold air intake. Any suggestions?? What's the deal with K&N filters - some people love them and some don't. why? Also, I wanted to get a nice set of performance headers - again, i am clueless as to which brands work best...

I just did this swap on my 99GT - I had to get the sealed strut set. Both my front and rear struts are sealed.

Hey guys, i recently got a GPS unit for my celi and I've noticed that the speed the GPS says I'm traveling at does not match my speedometer readout. Basically, the speedometer is always overshooting my actual speed - for example, when the speedometer reads 80mph, the GPS says i'm traveling at 72mph, speedo: 70- GPS: 63, speedo 55 - GPS 50. It's not the GPS unit getting a bad reading - I did the same test in another car and it read the same as the other car's speedo. Weird thing is, it's not just off by some systematic amount - it's a ratio thing somewhere. Any ideas??

I checked the front suspension and they are in fact cartridges and not the sealed type. Here's my dilemma - as of right now i have both cartridges AND sealed struts/suspension for the front. Could i still swap out the front rebuildable struts with the new sealed set i have? reason i ask is i really need new struts on the front anyway, along with new shocks... I know it's a bit of a step down in versatility for future upgrades, but i doubt i will be doing anything else to the suspension anyway. Is it physically do-able? i mean would the sealed struts fit the same as the rebuildable set would? The front struts are a bit sorter in length than the rear - this is normal, right? thanks!

Hey guys, does anyone know of a rack that will mount to the top of a celica to carry a kayak or something? I looked up Yakima racks but i couldn't find one to fit. There are soem that fit corollas and camrys... aren't the roof designs pretty similar?

Hey guys, anyone know the part number for the little plastic "mudflap" parts that are installed in the wheel wells of the Celi? I screwed one of mine up when messing with the suspension and i can't seem to find a replacement...

I'm doing the same swap right now - KYB's and S.Techs - i picked up a new set of mounts along with the shocks. My stock mounts have like 110000 miles on them, so, since you're taking the struts apart anyway, mounts are a good idea. Plus i had to get new insulators and shock bumpers - mine were all torn up, but if yours are in good shape, they should be OK

Hey guys, anyone know how to fix a fuel gauge? I was working on my tachometer today... when i finished up i asked my girlfriend to get a papertowel and dust off the gauge faces while i finished putting the dash back together... well, she of course hit all the needles with the papertowel while cleaning the gauge faces and didn't realize it. All the instruments seem to be working fine except for the fuel gauge. the needle just sit in th 1/4 full position even though i have a full tank of gas. Any ideas what it could be? I never had a fuel gauge issue before today, and i didn't think that the whole papertowel thing would render the fuel gauge permanently useless?

Are all of the struts sealed on a 99 GT?? I thought the rear were sealed and the front were rebuildable?
