Hi guys,

Just bought an illuminating ignition ring from a GT to fit to my SR, does anyone know where to connect or wire it to make it light up when you unlock the car or open the door?

Cheers all smile.gif

Hi people

Im also thinking of getting some White Lockwood dials to replace my glow gauges, but i was wondering on how you fit them?

My glow gauges were easy enough as the holes are big enough just to slip over the needles without having to remove anything.

Are the lockwood dials just the same, just slide them over the needles?

Cheers smile.gif

Its at that time where I need to replace my front disc's and pads, but im not sure where to get them from!

I've seen a set of disc's (normal non drilled or grooved) on ebay for around £52 inc p&p is that a good price or should I look else were? Does anyone know where a good place other than ebay to get them from (I live in the UK) or a website? Also does anyone know what size of disc I would need for 99 ST.

Thanks smile.gif

wow easy!
So do you unbolt the rails from the floor or unbold the seat from the rails? Im guessing its eaiser to unbolt the seat from the rails, also is it the case of unplugging the seatbelt pretentioners and plugging the new ones in?

Hi, does anyone know if its difficult to take out the front and rear seats. I've seen a set of leather seats from a 1999 GT4 on ebay and was thinking of getting them, only going for £6 at the moment! smile.gif

lol was waiting for someone to notice that!
When I tried to change the colour of the dials awhile ago, i got abit of paint on the underside of the gauge which has stopped the bulb from lighting up the needle, looks darker than it really is tho.

Cheers! I have put the black wire to ground already, I used the metal bar thats situated behind the gauge cluster. I'll attach the red wire to the green wire on the dimmer on thursday and see whats happens. Need to get them dimmed alittle, didnt realise they would be so bright at night, kinda distracting biggrin.gif

My gauges didnt come with a dimmer, just an on/off switch which i directly connected to my side lights so that they would come on when you turn the light switch stalk.

So really I could just connect the 2 power wires directly into the dimmer knob on the dash and that should work i guess?

very bright at night

Hi all,

Can anyone tell me if its possible to use the dimmer knob to adjust the light output on the glow gauges, or do they require a constant 12 volt to make them light? Reason I ask, they are really bright at night, abit too bright!!

Cheers

Hi

New to this forum today smile.gif I have just got some Reverse glow gauges and in need of changing the colour of the needles, dont think the stock green matches the red and blue of the glow gauges.

If I take the green rubbers of the bulbs so that the needles glow white, would painting the top of the needles with red translucent paint work ok to make them light up red?

Cheers
