QUOTE
you're racing a turbo'd GTS with a 7afe?.. i think the GTS turbo is pretty vicious.. I was talkin about the GT turbos... but thats great.. you found something stronger and faster to race

i dont have a 7a...check my pics. anyway a 7gen gts gets spanked like the rest.
this turbo gts will give me a better challenge.

there have been quite a few ppl with swaps that
have had throttle cable issues. Usually the cable
that the motor/clip comes with ends up being too short,
or has been damaged. to remedy the situation
myself and others have used motcycle cables to
solve this problem.
later i came across another problem with the
motorcycle cable solution. the throttle cables
arent very strong. i have popped 2 over the
last 2 years. its not an expensive part but just
a pain in the ass.
so i did some research and
remembered Eric Hux at Hux Racing told me to try
Lokar for a custom throttle cable. with my
research i found that Lokar was trying to get in
the import scene. they make a cables 24", 36",
and 48". So I tried the 48" which is the length
i needed (same lenght as the motorcycle cable).
The 48" cable is for an integra but works great
for my 3s swap. I got it from www.southernperformance.com.
for 60 shipped and
it was delivered within 48hrs of my order to my
front door. it comes with all materials and instructions
needed to install. it took me about 20min to install.
so for all you 3s swappers hopefully this will
help you and finally remedy the issue of the
throttle cable.

celica gt radiator will work just fine for 3s swaps.
use the koyo if you plan on hi boostin... 17 and up as a safety precaution.
imo.. try to keep your ac... you ll need it one day.

it would probably look ok......well? i dont know.
the gt4 hood would lose its funcionality,
unless the vents were repositioned to
and resized to accomedate for frwd.
the gt4 bumper is perfect huge fmic (supra size).
someone should photochop to see if a
fairly descent hybrid could be made.
personally id be happy with a supra w/2jzgte.

tein makes coilovers for the st205 according to their jp site.
i wanted to know if you guys from over seas think its worth
the money and shipping or should i wait for the us versions
which will probably suck compared to the j-spec.

apex n1 works great... i had that na 2.5 w my 7afe.... car sounded great
and i felt the hp (n1 w/injen intake and hollow cat).
with the 3sgte the 3.0 n1 has one of the nicest sounds ive heard asside from
tanabe turbo race medallion, mr2daul 3in race exhaust(some long japanese name
i cant pronounce), and the sickest exhaust (imo) that ive heard is the TRD
kauzuma race exhaust for 7th gens(my friend has it w/injen cai, trd japan
header). most 7th gen complain that its too loud but the sound is too clean.
just loud with a purpose.. if you will..

my hopes of swapping started nov 02 on my way to import xpression.
7afe gave way doing 137mph on the turnpike(thats what i get for racing).
rod #4 kissed the sky and said no more. i still managed to show the car
but my daily driver was gone.
i hated waiting on parts but the job finally got done thanks to
Hux Racing in Cocoa. maintainence and tuning done at CAMS, Orlando.

7afe/at to a 3sgte/mt
engine
gen 2 mr2 3sgte w/lsd
5sfe tranny axles
gt4 hubs
act 6 puc race clutch
fidanza fly
blitz bov, ecu, tt, boost cotroller, boost gage
trd wires, strut brace and caps
custom 3in turbo back exhaust w/ apex n1
hux racing pulley
spearco fmic w/ innovative turbo piping
hks metal head gasket and irid plugs

.....top speed is still unknown.
according to orlando raceway it runs 14.3 qt mile
with nasty wheelspin and ****ty reaction times.
