Get a new higher capacity battery dude, i've been running Crunch GTR components, Kenwood Hu, and a 1000W monoblock amp with a 600W RMS sub, i have no problems.

Make sure all your cabling is up to spec and ground points are very important to help avoid voltage drops.

For making a mock up i'd use a very hard foam that is able to support several times its own weight, so as it doesn't deform easily.

But then agian if you're going the whole hog, why not get some second hand bumpers and custom fabricate the kit rear end front using these as a starting point, build it up with the foam i mentioned then cover it with fibreglass to make it durable.

HTH

Just a very brief how to on fitting tweeters.

You will need:

1x Gen 6 Celica
1x electric drill and hole cutter (or a small drill bit and lots more time)
1x file, rounded preferably
2x tweeters and crossovers (what better excuse than this to get those component speakers you liked the look of!)
2x lengths of speaker cable

First remove the door triangles (the little bits of plastic onthe inside of the door where the wing mirror is) this is removed by pulling the top towards you and lifting the triangle up, the L shaped platic lugs at the bottom slot into the rubbery plastic and hold it in.

Then offer the tweeter up to the plasitc and mark the section to drill.

Get a hole cutter which is about the same size as the back of the tweeter, securely clamp the triangle in a vice and drill the marked area out.

Test fit the tweeter and file the hole out as neccessary until the tweeter fits nicely.

To secure it in place strong tape (gaffa) will work, but a silicone mastic will hold it more permanently.

You will then need to remove the door card to wire the tweeter up.

This is a good time to replace the stock woofer and wire the crossover in, where you place it is your choice, mine are on display in the door pockets.

Wiring:
Output from the head unit to the input on the crossover, woofer output to woofer, tweeter output to tweeter.

I ran all the wires up to the tweeter and used bullet connectors on the ends so i could disconnect the triangle seperately from the door card, just makes things easier.

Should look something like this: (apologies, camera phone and it was dark!)

Unlucky dude, i hope you have a speedy recovery. Whiplash can be nasty and can kick in weeks later.

Yup ST facelift (1999) 7AFE engine, and tiny 269mm rear discs lol!

Cheers for the comments, looks like it sparked off a little "family reunion" biggrin.gif

Gen 7 M-sport alloys fit and look really nice smile.gif

I have heard the 4AFE head will fit the 7AFE engine block, but i'm not sure about the waterways, some may not line up properly?

Cheers folks, I knew plenty of people wouldn't like them but it'd be boring if we liked all the same thing biggrin.gif

The IceLed UFO kit goes for about the £485 mark the scaner is another £80, and then the little Gem lights in the indicators are about £35 each.

Its expensive stuff but its all military grade components most of the units are 100% waterproof, and the tubes can be run over at 30mph and suffer no damage!

They may work a little better with a black centre, just the rim in blue (or maybe the car's paint colour on just the rim)

Not keen on them at the moment though
