I'd go with the 225/45R17's. You wouldn't want to put anything narrower than a 225 on a 8in wide wheel. If you decide to go with a 225/40R17, nitto makes the nt555 in that size; they are about the only one's making that particular size. |

As for negative camber, try the yokohama parada spec x or nitto neo gen they are built specifically for that kind of application. |

I sell tires for a living and would have to agree, those are really good tires. had the avid h4s on my 14in steelies and got over 70,000 miles on them. |

Mine went bad a couple of months ago. Put in a new crankshaft pulley and it's now runnin great. Mine was making the same noise, started faint and got progressively louder. |
