The measurements are 91 x 73,5 mm for the display itself. Been dragging it around the interior see where it might fit but still nothing that caught my eye. Latest kind of stupid idea is below the removable ashtray... then I can just take out the ashtray whenever I want to see it, like a diagnostic screen type thing, it just fits rather nicely in there. |

The space next to the cigarette lighter was a good candidate and makes sense since I hardly ever use that space but it doesn't fit standing up without cutting up into AC controls or down through the plastic surrounding the gear shifter. The side of the steering wheel idea is something I never thought of, have to look into that how it fits and all. I got it from www.conrad.se (they have an international site too http://www.conrad-international.com) for about 160$. I have my cellphone holder above the AC vents, and it's alittle too in your face in such a good spot, want it more hidden but still not... if that makes sense. |

I have purchased one of those that I want to mod a bit and integrate somewhere hidden in the interior (I don't need to know pressure all the time), I have picked it apart and I can make a square container for the screen and move the buttons as I see fit but I don't know where I want to put it. First I thought about putting it at the bottom of the arm rest and just put a thin sheet of plexi over it but I'm not sure... don't really have that many places to put it. Ideas? |

That just looks plain evil and exactly like I'd want mine to look, I even like the interior which I rarely do when people fudge with it but it makes a nice contrast to the black exterior. |

Jesus after having installed his very own car alarm all by himself. But like the others say, if you don't feel completely sure about the process having a professional do it is probably the best idea, my point was just that neither me or my brother is very savvy but we managed to install it fairly easy and it would have been alot easier if we knew beforehand about the error in the wiring scheme they attach. Basic knowledge of wiring/soldering and how a multimeter works so you know where the signals come from and so you don't short something, and also preferbly that you have access to a fast one since the ground signal only is for a brief time and our multimeter had trouble catching it so we had to mash my lock/unlock button and arm/disarm a million times checking for that. Either way you'll be happy you had it installed no matter if you do it yourself or not, atleast personally everything that keeps my celica safe makes me feel moist. |

I have one of those in my Celica and it works just fine, is super loud and have good range for the remote though the toyota logo on the remote is not the prettiest, wiring was fairly easy and took us about half a day, 95% of your time you will be on the floor by the driver seat so it's fairly straightforward if you know how to use a multimeter and know some general wiring. Note though I chose not to do the auto window rollup and I still have left to connect my trunk release (didn't have a solenoid at the time so postponed that part). Beware that if you do buy it remember that the instructions (atleast in the one I bought) are incorrect about the cables for the remote lock part, just check the wires with a multimeter and you'll see it's not one of the white ones like the instructions say but it's the orange one at the end if I remember correctly (you'll know what I mean when you get there). If you do buy it I doubt you'll regret it, I'm happy as jesus with mine. |

Check the fuses under the hood, if the one labeled "Radio NO 1" (or something like that) is OK also make sure that the fuses in the places that are marked with a just an X in them also are OK, this was what happened to me when my GPS ate some fuses, it ate the one under the dash labeled something like "CIG & RAD" which you probably already have switched and it also ate one under the hood which was in one of the spots that just had a X on it, took me a while to figure out so hope it helps. |

Got myself my very first alarm and also for the first time in any car I've owned I now also have keyless entry, it's a special spiritual feeling walking away from the car, pressing the arm button and hearing that magic beep, makes me feel alittle like jesus. I got myself this alarm from Rightclick (with minor adjustments) : http://www.rclick.co.uk/product_info.php?c...products_id=442 Far from top of the line but it works very well for me and my brother have the same in his car so we figured installation together with the excellent writeup I found on this board would be a breeze, which it actually was aside from the fact that the installation manual was babelfish translated and partly made no sense whatsoever and it contained factual errors on one important place that set us back a couple of hours so we had to go with trial and error method which ment we triggered the alarm several times to try stuff and we ended up having the cops called on us, a contributing reason they thought it was a breakin could have been that me and my brother simulated a breakin a couple of times (just shaking the car basically) to try the sensitivety of the shock sensor we might have gotten alittle carried away in our roles and yelled stuff etc... It has the brightest blue LED I've ever seen for an alarm indicator, we fitted it down by the cig lighter and in the dark it lights up my entire car with its blinky blinks, I love it. |

This is what I ended up with, posting beginning to end pictures just so I can see the difference, could probably make it better if I used the machine but I'm just happy it doesn't look like in the first picture anymore. The first picture is obviously starting point, no idea how it got that bad really, second picture is after a round with the S.O.S pads (called Svinto here) and third I went a couple of rounds with Autosol on it. |

So after I read this post I tried to get my engine clean since it looked just as dirty as that engine in the first post : This is after a couple of rounds with the s.o.s pads thingy : Still want it even cleaner (if possible), what would be next step to make it even more shiny cause right now it's just clean and smooth to the touch but still far from shiny. |

That actually looks nice, the blue led mod is something I already have planned, your center in silver looks nice too. I wanted to try to think outside the box with my mods, much like an artist I just gave myself complete freedom in the cabin and this is what I came up with. (it's actually the spare pieces from when we wrapped the center console in carbon and changed clock color) I was thinking about trying to do something myself for my climate controls, some kind of overlay sticker like the white one, and some kind of permanent place for my GPS like I saw someone else had placed it next to the steering wheel on the side. Thanks for all the suggestions so far, I'm really new at this so it's baby steps still. |

This is just a rant from someone that are perfectly (probably too) happy with his car except for one thing, this is just one mans taste so if someone else disagree that's perfectly fine. When I enter my car it never feels like a '94, it's easily interior (and exterior) wise comparable to much newer cars just for the slick lines, that is ofcourse until I gaze upon the center console. It's the one part that really looks it's age, the huge am/pm clock and the climate controls, I do intend to get on trying to mod the colors like I did with the clock thanks to guides here but that hardly makes things better unless it's pitch black in the car, and I haven't been able to find any other suggested mods I like, the carbon wrapping I tried and didn't like and spray painting it I think would just make it look worse, bought those chrome strips that you clip on the air outtakes but only made it look gay. The lower part with the gearshift/e-brake I think I've managed to look fairly OK and updated, new part chrome gearshift knob and e-brake handle, chrome cigarette lighter and subtle carbon wrapping on the lid to the storage thingy next to the e-brake (though that in chrome too would make me... you guessed it, moist). So question is, are there any more mods to the center console that can be done? I'm thinking like the knobs and buttons if there are any similar car that one could steal from or things like that. |

I'd be very interested in one. Looking at Celica powers link though it's almost half the price, but it's extremely polish so I don't understand a word. Incase the whole bulk order thing is a no go does the Moman guys sell single units and ship outside PL? |

Thanks for the warm welcome. Sweden did not do so well yesterday sadly, that last goal during stop time wasn't fair... not fair, but on paper Spain should have owned us so atleast we put up a good fight. As for it being a he instead of the traditional she is my girlfriends fault, my brother always names his cars stupid things based on the name of the model of his cars and so I asked him for suggestions, all were ofcourse completely retarded but then out of the blue my girlfriend said "Why don't you name him Ivan?", not having anything whatsoever to do with anything I liked it and have stuck with it since. The wing has been worked over now, I sanded it down as smooth as possible after priming it so the color would be even and put a layer of color on it, my fear is just that it won't be as slick and shiny as I want it once it have dried and all, would it be a good idea to put clear coat ontop of the paint directly or should I work on the paint with something first? Vacation soon which means time to work on the red rocket, will surely be using the great howtos on here for some things and probably try to tap into the collective knowledge on here when I get stuck with something. I thought all Celica owners were moist...? |

New member (sort of, first post atleast), owned my 1994 Celica a.k.a(Ivan, as in Crazy Ivan) for about 2½ years and just recently started to get interested in doing stuff to him, I have no bragging rights compared to all the other cars on here but I was never a car guy until I got him, until then it was just getting from A to B, anyways here he is the way he looked the day I picked him up as a pup all new (to me) : Three things have changed since that picture. Removed the lights in the front. They just looked like crap and the wiring as I noticed later was done so crappy it was a miracle it hadn't shorted. This might be a dumb question but what would be the simplest way if I wanted to move my plate down to were the lights were? Removed the wing. It was ruined by the sun In progress of trying to restore it now actually, any tips and suggestions helpful. Thieves stole my tires. So now I have 16" regular ugly rims just so nobody is going to want to steal them. I've never regretted buying my Celica and it's not once given me any trouble whatsoever engine wise or so and that it runs fairly cheap and looks exactly like I want it is a big plus. |
