People, please don't think that only exists projects like this in my country or persons who only make this type of cheap builds... Here we have a lot of type of people who have diferent concepts of how to make a good tune up...

I'm in another city, but in all the country we have excellent projects going on... like a Subaru Impreza STI 2007 and my own GT-Four 1997 which is in process...

I will make a thread of my project soon... so you may see that we do things right here..

And that statement "Cheap Parts Build, South America Style" is false... I would like that Neon talk for himself and not for everyone here in my country or in the Continent...

QUOTE (baktasht @ Apr 15, 2010 - 5:07 PM) *
They're both great turbo choices. If only choosing between those two I would take the S256 extended tip turbo over the GT3076R. The S256 & GT3076R with both spool very similar to eachother, but the S256 will shine at higher boost levels where the GT3076R can no longer keep up. It will make morer peak power. And at anything above 25psi the S256 extended tip turbo really starts to pull away from the GT3076R.

But again, both area great turbos. Can't go wrong either way. What are your power goals? There may be a better turbo to meet your goals.

Thanks for the quick reply baktasht... Searching a lot of information in the web about these 2 turbos I reached to the same conclusion... principally in a shootout...

My power goal it's around 450-500whp max.... but I'm going in "stages" with my project because I don't have too much $$$ to spend now (I just got married.. hahaha)... I'll write to your mail for more comfort to you... there I say to you all the ideas I have in my head...

Thanks one more time baktasht...

There's GT-4's in Paraguay??? Man, I hate the US!!! laugh.gif

Why the discrimination???... here we have a lot of gt-four ST205... only 2 o 3 europe version in all the country (one used for rally, it's an authentic group A), but the rest are JDM with RHD to LHD conversion...

Here a photo of mine...

But, thanks for your reply guys... So, only in the street to tune the ecu by the moment... and in the future, who's now if I do a travel to Sao Paulo... there they have a awd dyno..

Grettings...

Hi everybody.... I'm from Paraguay and I have a ST205 JDM, and a friend of mine have a CALDINA ST215W (3sgte gen 4)...

Is it possible to raise the back of the car and just have the front wheels on the dyno. Do the gearbox brake apart or what??...
Is the dyno test on the F-wheels accurate yet??...

The reason I am asking is because here in my country we don't have a 4wd dyno..

Grettings... thanks in advance...

Ok... but looking in the full-race page: http://www.full-race.com/catalog/product_i...products_id=484

I found this manifold aren't for twin-scroll turbos... it's only for single-scroll... right???..

They have one for twin-scroll.. but for gen 2 3S-GTE only...

So.... in that case... the full-race manifold it's a better choice???..

To fabricate a custom downpipe here in my country it's very difficult... no one does it with quality and good look... principally in stainless still..

Hi guys..

I want a opinion... what do you say about this manifold????..

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/JDM-3SGTE-3...%3A1|240%3A1318

and to fit a T3 flange turbo, with this adaptor of the same brand: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/OBX-Flange-...sQ5fAccessories

The T3 turbo in question could be the GT3071R, GT3076R or the GT3582R... anyone of these in .78 A/R Twin-Scroll...

What do you think about this manifold for anyone of these??... or in any way the full-race manifold would be better???

Grettings..

Miguel...

Hi again guys.. I want an opinion of you...

What do you say about this manifold???..

http://www.drivenperformance.co.nz/scripts...?idproduct=1326

It is designed to suit Gen 3 and Gen 4 3S-GTE engines (ST205, Late SW20, and ST215 Caldina) with T3 flanged turbos and takes a standard 2 bolt 38mm wastegate, like a Tial...

I seek a lot of manifolds in this style and principally with this flange but I don't found it... only this...

I'm going to buy it... but I want your opinion..

Grettings..

From Paraguay, South America..

Miguel.. smile.gif

you cant buy the datalogit software as a package, they are made by two completly different companies.

as has been said buy the ecu your tuner is most familiar with.

Ok man, thanks.. I'm gonna think about this.. because everybody advise me to use the ecu with my tuner is most familiar...

thanks for the help guys..

Yes I see this site.. it's very complete... I think the datalogit it's very important to adquire... so, with the power fc, the commander and the datalogit is the pack to buy.. hehe..

Why do you need to correct the map anytime???.. do you put upgrades or why??..

Thanks for your attention and patience man..

I'd say pick the EMS your local tuner tunes. I have a power fc on my ST205 and I think it's great. If I had the money I would have gotten a Motec but at the same time for my power goals it would have been overkill. And lastly if you do buy a Power FC you do not need the boost control kit from Apexi to control the boost. The Power FC can control it via the vsv.

Here the tuners use a FUELTECH.. it's a brazilian EMS, it's medium quality but not complete like another EMS, it's a little difficult to install in the ignition too, but is simply to operate.. but doesn't have a idle controller, Air Conditioner Correction, etc, etc.... I like the MOTEC, the best cars use it, but the price is the problem....

I like the Power FC because it's apparently easy to operate, the installation is quick, use all of the originals sensors and isn't necessary a re-wiring... I have a SBC Blitz i-color as a Boost Controller...

so.. I'm waiting for a Argentina Motec answer... and depending of the price I will decide if I buy the power fc or not...

It's easy to operate and tuning with the Power FC???..

Ok guys.. thanks for the help.. I'm going to register in both forums and participate...

Last question... do you like the POWER FC or you preffer another EMS???.. if it's plug n' play better.. I'm wait for your recommendations..
