Guys, you must have very good roads all around to use these size of tires, previous owner of my GT, who lives in Germany (great new road everywhere, no speed limit on highways) had 17" 215/40, it looked nice but I´ll kill chassis after few kms here in Czech Republic because of terrible roads :

So I´ve decided to keep original 15" rims, it´s nothing special but it´s more for performance and not just for look so I like it :

Btw: what is your approx. fuel consumption on 215 or 225 tires ?

Mine´s little bit lowered but it´s sometimes hardcore on our roads here in Czech Republic, mainly after winter there´s lot of holes everywhere .. :-(

I´ve got Type-S as well but I´m not satisfied .. they are not bad, especially tweeters are good, but I think that they´re not fully worth the price.

What kind of music do you prefer .. ?

Nice, show us difference with / without these extra lights from driver´s position ..

I think that at least two of them must burn not directly but wide so you´ll see around a corner ..

No doubt .. these must be nice as well only pics are not as reality sometimes. Is your suspension stock or are you little bit lower ? My celi´s way to low and unfortunately roads in Czech Republic are not friendly to these type of suspension. :-(

I´ve pm´ed you .. wink.gif

I´ve bought my Celica already without OEM steering wheel, I´ve got there MOMO, it´s not looking so good but I do like it ´cause it´s very comfortable and I can feel everything on the road.

Unfortunately airbag´s gone. :-(

So, as promised, some update on current situation :

A) New head unit /// Alpine CDA-9886R installed

B) Doors - my opinion is, that damping is mandatory if you play front speakers via amp, otherwise there will be lot of unwished sounds coming out from the doors

C) Trunk upgrade, currently only one 4-channels amp but there will be another one for sub, will add plexiglass and some neons for show laugh.gif

Safety first wink.gif In case of accident I don´t want to have my sub on my neck, these screws seems to be not sufficient so I´ll change ´em.

I think you have to try more type of diods to find out which one fits your requirements, there are lot of types with integraded resistance for use on 12V but with different type of light ..

Strange is that on this photo it seems to be light blue ..

.. but in fact it´s white. :-)

This is not too bright for me and therefore I´m wondering how to make it brighter, one way should be cleaning of gauge faces as GriffGirl mentioned (I´m looking forward pics as well wink.gif and same method is used on that Russia link I´ve posted ..

I´ll now try to change clock and lighter lighting to get red & white combination (sorry for quality of photo)..

Guys, unfortunately you´ll never get light bright enough by just changing three original bulbs with led´s.

Most probably you have to do something like this : http://www.celica-club.ru/board/index.php?showtopic=13031

Hey every1, I´ve just finished with mine dashboard but results are not as expected so I´ll try to change diods to achieve better results.

I do have Alpine 9886R which has red buttons and white display and therefore I´d like to have everything as combination of these two colours.
Will use mine lighter as USB slot for memory cards because I´m non-smoker. I´ve changed three main bulbs on dashboard for LED´s (each worth approx. 1,5 $) and my friend make the change on heat control panel (including work 10 $). The heater for rear window has own diod and therefore it´s much more brighter than rest.

This is most probably not the final version because I´m not satisfied. At least I do know how to take into parts dash board. biggrin.gif

Hey buddy, nice white one, photos are really exciting, russian babes rulezZz .. biggrin.gif

Your interior is nothing for me as I hardly keep clean my black but it´s very nice. What about modification of your tachometer ? I like it very much and I´d like to have mine very similar (stock green sucks).

Regards from Czech Republic. biggrin.gif

Guys, I´ve also changed stock sound, currently I´m playing with JVC head unit, front compo system is from ///Alpine Type S (basic but tweeters are good) and sub Helix P10 in closed baffle-board. These hang on Audison SRx 4 (means 2x 50W for speakers and 1x 170 W for sub - this is way too low but new apm will come soon just for sub - at least 500W RMS should be fine).

First thing I´ve made - new cables for amp, power on left side from battery to the amp :

Two pairs of RCA´s on right side to avoid interference :

Back seats were removed to have better access, rear speakers were just removed, I´ll have nothing there :

After this I´ve put some "sikadamp" damping on the front doors, made wooden adapters for speakers, made 15-l baffle board for subwoofer and installed amp. Pics will follow later, currently I have to finish position of tweeters and find some better place for amp.

Sound is good but amp for woofer is not sufficient, also unfortunately mids are kind of low but I´ll work on it (new head unit is needed). Maybe I´ll change also front speakers and will add processor .. once you´re in sound madness, you cannot stop. laugh.gif laugh.gif biggrin.gif
