I'm having 3rd gear hesitation , i change the spark plugs (they are still good when i inspect them visually but change it) and still have the problem . I saw oil around the tip of the sparkplug wires but not inside which i think is not a problem , could it be causing short ? is there an oil seal for it ? how hard is it to replace ? thanks

the 96+ has a shorter tab on the slotted part.
if you look where the string ends, that raised plastic piece is different on the two.
I have a 96+ one in my garage and I can confirm if that is the right one or not for you

Just to let you know, that one did sell already, but it was for a 94-95.
Here's a link to another one that is cheaper and is also for a 94-95:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1994-TOYOTA...sQ5fAccessories

so it wont fit .... sigh

Here's the trouble shooting guide from the Toyota Factory Manual, but mine only covers US & Canada. The codes to the right of the trouble shoot guide show a detailed breakdown of the system if you need further detail. It sounds like the control switch from your description.

wow very useful, ill check on that.

it wouldn't be the fuse, try replacing the relay in the engine bay

i tried pulling out the relay and both high and low went out , is it possible that only the low beam part is bad? if relay will go bad both high and low should go bad right? theres only one relay for the high and low right?

Sometimes i totally lost power or power will just totally go dead. When i hook up with a jumper , power will restore itself and i dont even need the jumper to start it up.

Any thoughts about this problem? Maybe this is starter issue?
