I finally had a chance to go down to florida to pick up my celica. but when i got there this is what i found

Even tho the Florida sun had taken its toll on the paint, I still picked up the car, because the interior was spotless and the engine had such low miles. And as soon as i got the car home, i started work sanding, bondoing, dent pulling, and primering.

Here is how she sits today...

yes... i know its auto

i say go with the body color, it would probably look like you just havent painted them if its a different color from the body IMHO

i had this on my last car and it looked really nice, i also did it black, and i used thin black zip ties in the bottom and top of each post to hold it in place. you couldnt even see the ties when i was done

also, look for mesh gutter guard instead of chicken wire at a place like home depot, its about $2 per 18 inch sheet i believe.

GET THE GT-S RIMS!!!!!! they loook sooooo clean and hawt ony our cars biggrin.gif then that way you can join the "i have gt-s rims" club biggrin.gif

haha i love how they look on our cars, however it seems that alot of people have them, and although i do like them, i sorta want something different and the mb wheels have the recessed spokes and chrome lip where the gt-s wheels are pretty much flat all the way to the tire.

Right now i am leaning tword the mb wheels, but id like to hear everyones opinion

I stopped by my local discount tire yesterday and found that they were having a deal on these rims. 16x7 with tires for $400 i also found a guy locally selling a set of gt-s wheels and tires but 2 of the tires have 50% tread left and is only willing to take 350 at lowest for them. So my dilemma is, do i go with these wheels brand new with tires or get used wheels and tires for $50 less

thats abt. how much im planning on spending on mine...and im building the motor and boosting the 5sfe.

sorry im only planning on spending 2k for the turbo kit...not everything...but it still shouldnt b more than 3k for everything.i think thats a pretty good deal

2k-3k for a reliable custom kit is not far out of the question. if you are tearing the motor apart and building it up to withstand higher boost levels than 8-10 psi then it will probably cost more than 2k, but if you are looking to just run about 8-10psi then, in most cases, the internals can hold that, and hold it reliably, as long as the compression on the motor is good. and the tuning is done and done right.
