I know, I can get out of the car and use the key to open the trunk. But I want to be able to just pull the handle. |

No offense but wtf was that supposed to be? The only thing that was actually music was the guitar and i don't even think that was that great. It was just people talking and you can hardly hear them... I'm not trying to be rude or anything. I happen to listen to a lot of old jazz and the scat that you had in there was not very good. It sounded like it was supposed to be funny, like little kids or something. No offense taken. You're entitled to your opinion. Bring it back and I'll give you what you paid for it. wtf? not trying to be mean here Whoopee! He is able to be mean without trying! |

Actually I HAVE heard it covered by other groups, that's just the best known one. The first version I remember was from The Crazy World of Arthur Brown. I also like a sultry jazz version by Queen Latifah. |

I left my top down once last week. It rained overnight. I should know better, in Oregon. |

So they issued the refund back to my bank, but it won't be there for 3-6 business days, meaning Friday at the earliest and next Teusday at the latest. It's that mid-Washington vortex acting up again. From News Of The Weird: Women Certainly Are Different From Men: Sara Tucholsky, all 5-foot-2 of her, marshaled her strength for her first-ever fence-clearing home run in April, which would have given her Western Oregon University softball team the lead against favored Central Washington, except that she tore a ligament rounding first base. Since she was unable to move, by rule she (actually, a pinch-runner) would have had to remain at first base instead of circling the bases, but two Central Washington players picked Tucholsky up and carried her around the bases to allow her to get credit for the home run. "You deserve it," one opponent said. "You hit it over the fence." Kindness hurt; Central Washington lost, 4-2, and was eliminated from the playoffs. [Star Tribune (Minneapolis)-AP, 5-1-08] Now if the Washington players had acted normally and competitively, as the world is expected to be, then the vortex wouldn't have sucked your extra digit into that T-Mobile account. But then, we expect that from the Evergreen state. |

Evos do look like nice cars, but Mitsubishi is not very reliable. Save your comments..... I have seen first hand. Not so much with an evo, but with eclipse by many. When I was looking for a 2-seater in '05, one of the ones I tried was an Eclipse. What a tired hunk of scrap metal. And Consumer Reports gave it a very poor review for reliability. They loved Toyota. I can't imagine myself ever driving another car but a Toyota. |

I wonder how long the guy would have lived with his terminal lung cancer if he hadn't been killed. I wonder if his case will end up being settled or found in his favor. I wonder how much more his relatives will make from this than if he had died of lung cancer, probably within months anyway. Just sayin'. Personally I hope his case wins, if the police can't authenticate their story. Everyone needs to be accountable, especially the authorities. |

When I had my MR2 Spyder people used to ask me what kind of Porsche it was. One asked if it was an Elise. Since I switched to the Celica Convertible I've been asked if it was a Mustang, and if it was a Camaro. Gads. |

'Nother thing I like about my Celica is the black leather seats. I had been looking for Celica seats to put in my Spyder. But even at the junkyard they were really pricey... |

One thing I miss about my Spyder was an aftermarket antenna I had. Nobody on SpyderChat could tell me where it was from or where to get one. I want one for my Celica: |

I'd think that someone who REALLY liked 6G Celicas but also REALLY liked targa tops... ought to start with a vert, and convert it. Find a wrecked coupe and cut the back top off it and put it on the vert. The vert has already got the bracing built in to overcome the lack of hardtop. |

Now if you were in Oregon the conversation would have gone like: Drat, we have a black GT here in (N. Oregon), with total stock, no stickers, and this driver is truly irritating. I swear I nearly thought bad thoughts the other day. He was acting all stupid, not signalling before changing lanes, and almost tailgating... When I signalled to move into his lane he didn't even slow down and let me in. Must be from Texas. Didn't even wave at me. damn kids... I wish I could catch that farker in a parking lot, I'd tell him how inconsiderate he is. |

I talked to an attractive young woman who had a white 99 convertible, in Tigard, last month. What a nice car it was. Oh, and I saw another black convertible on the 99E between Hubbard and Wilsonville earlier this month. |

Found this forum by accident. I was googling for some information to solve the problem of water sloshing around in one of my side panels ('99 convertible). I've had the car since September but also had an '01 Spyder till last month and hung out in SpyderChat. Now I love the guys over at SpyderChat but now that I don't have a Spyder anymore (boo hoo) it seems more and more a waste of time to hang out there. Much as I loved my Spyder there were things that made it easy to move on: No space for 3rd or 4th passenger No space for luggage No room to put seat back and snooze in the rest stop No cruise control (gets pretty tiring on long trips) When I spotted the Celica at Wilsonville Toyota I fell in love instantly and had to have it. Oh, and Black is the fastest color. Some of the stuff we talked about over at SpyderChat was things like how and why to gut your precats (Spyders had a nasty habit of eating precats), meet locations, times and dates, performance and appearance mods, stuff like that. There was also a great bit of good natured goofing off over there. Well enough about me, I'm going to learn how to search and all that on this board. |
