Most around here are battered and broken.

You better watch your tone, I won't hesitate to drive an hour and make you eat those words lol.

If you need the parts for your conversion I have about three of everything you need.

This is my last one. They are a ton of work and its time to spend summers enjoying them, not building them.

Anyone on that list, steer clear of low end enkei, you get what you pay for. Forged wheels are king.

I've been traveling like crazy for work. I'll take some new pictures, I've been slowly finishing the white gt-4. Bought a 1987 Corolla FX from New Mexcio that I'm putting a 4age bt 6spd in so I have been focusing a little more on that.

First off I would like to congratulate you on owning #61 of 77 that is quite an accomplishment no backyard mechanic will ever be able to touch.

Toyota hires engineers to design their vehicles. Engineers go to college and not all of them go and work for Toyota but the ones who don’t have the same education as the ones who do. Now the ones who don’t work for Toyota save the world in another way and on the weekends build rally cars that far surpass the quality of any assembly line.

You fly planes, we design and build, don’t hate the player hate the game.

Im pretty sure the only way to run 10mm spacers is with extended studs which is alot of work to install. I personally hate rota and think anyone who runs them on a track is putting their life and anyone around lives at risk. They look cool, light, and cheap which means in order to provide all three of those the casting process and material is less than statisfactory. Look into rpf1's I heard they came out with some new sizes. Also ebay is your best friend I have seen a set of work meiser 16x8 +35 and a set of advan rc-II 17x8 +35 sell recently for under $1000. If your going to track/autox your car get a forged wheel, if you just cruise and do the car show circuit rota will probally serve you fine.

If you can find 16x8 that is your best bet. You want light and wide, the bigger you go the more weight. If you can't find 16x8 a forged 17x8 or spun cast (enkei rfp1, kosie k1) 17x8 are excellent options. You should be looking for a +35mm offset when running 8 inch wide wheels. Wheels and tires are huge players in a cars performance, aka don't cheap out.

Get a new shell seriously. It will be the smartest thing you ever do. I'm from New York the Salt King State and I know first hand the impact rust has on a vehicle. You will be fighting that rust every time you work on that car. If the body looks like that you can believe every bolt is siezed beyond removal. That equals snapping bolts and spending hours drilling and retapping. I can gurantee when you go to replace brakes you will snap both bolts off in the calipers, that means drill and tap (pain) or new calipers. It will be much more economical to start looking for a clean shell now or face the numerious repair costs in the future. I know this hurts because its like your child, but its brain dead and on life support....pull the plug.
