stock would be better. the 17s need low pros which have stiffer side walls. drag radials would probably fine. im assuming your cars a stick so some wheel spin is ok, you don't want your motor to bog. |

if you pump the brakes with the bleeder loose your gonna push air and fluid out and suck air back in. you should have the bleeder close when pumping, hold the pedal and loosen the bleeder. then tighten it back up. when its just a stream of fluid coming out then that corner is done. if you do it yourself get a container and poor brake fluid in it. then loosen the bleeder and connect a hose to it and put the other end in the container so that it is under the level of the brake fluid. then slowly pump the brake. when you push down the air will get push out and because its in brake fluid it will suck the fluid back in instead of air. when you stop getting air bubbles when pumping your done with that corner. |

just go shimless if you get your head worked on... cost me $200 to get my head done... shims included... block is going to cost you more... usually about 300-400.... they didn't touch my crank though so it could be more... you got a 5SFE right? his got a 7A. don't know what kinda work is involved in shiming a 5S but it must be less or you got a real good deal |

i got these DF210 for my car and i don't think its dropped as much as it said it was suppose to. how long does its take for them to settle?, the tanabe rep told me 2 weeks. its been about that long and it still looks just as low as it did when i first put them on. i measured the front two days after i installed them and it was about an inch lower. does else have these? did they drop what it was supposed to for you? |

i got my head resurfaced and the valves grinded for about $130. but some machine shops won't touch the head because of all the work involved in shimming it. i had to do the shims myself but the guy at the machine shop helped me get the shims i needed. Another machine shop around here want like $400 to do it but the would have shimmed it for me. It took longer but i think i went the right route. i about 9k mi on it so for with no problems. its not hard to figure out what shims you need it just takes time. |

Replacing the seals isn't that hard. you have to take the lower part of the strut loose, outer tie rod end, and pull the axle out. use a seal puller tool or pry bar to remove and the proper seal driver to install the new. make sure you get your seals from toyota, i messed around with ones from advanced and stuff and the are to big to go in. not to mention the ones from toyota cost less. |
