Nice! Welcome! Are you the first owner? The way the hood sits it seems like it may have been in a fender bender before. no a mate of mine owed me money so he ended up giving me the car the worst thing about it was that he had a house fire a month or two before i got the car so all of the history he had went up in smoke but yeah it does look like it has been hit in the front as the bonnet dont line up |

i got a 2.0l GT ST202 (3SGE Engine) import it shold be about 170-180 bhp but it seems slow my old fto seemed alot faster ive had a new custom backbox and pipe fitted and HKS air filter too Possibly its your mods or it could just be the way you are driving it. The Toyota engines rev pretty high. Take it onto an open road, keep it in second or thrid and floor it. Past 4500 revs you should feel the car suddenly pick up. yeah ive found after about 4500-5000 revs it picks up pretty well just under that it seems slow It could be an SS-I (140HP 3S-FE) since you say it's an import. I've had one of those, Mind you I test drove a 1994 SS-II (Also 3S-GE) and it was just as slow as an SS-I because it was over 180,000 KMS ODOMETER with the exception of another 1,000 RPM, power plateaued. On my same 3S-GE with only 75,000 KMS ODOMETER the power does not plateau it simply lunges forward from 6,000 to 7,000 RPM as though the pedal was suddenly floored further. I'd say a 3S-GE in good condition should be just as fast as other 2 litre NA coupes. Just to make sure why don't you grab the model number (On the aluminum plate on the firewall, looks like E-ST20X-XXXXX) and take a photo of your engine. ill get a pic up today when i sort out my pass window that dont open anymore lol |
