hi folks, im just wondering if anyone knows where the siren is on a 98 gt. i think ive found it but am not sure, the thing i found is cylindrical in shape and has a jumper cable going into it. Its mounted by 4X M10 bolts. If thats not it im going to start pulling my hair out! ![]() 4xM10 sounds right. You should be able to find it if you look top left by standing infront of the bonnet. hmmm dont know how to say this but think i was looking at the window wiper motor ![]() ive heard that the siren might be located in the front left hand wing, can anyone confirm this? and would i have to take off the panel to get to it... Still looking! |

I think that you need to reset the alarm (this is assuming that you have the stock alarm with one button on it lol), what happens is you push the button to many times (trying to unlock/lock it) and it does something to the alarm. When this happened to me my car still locked but it just flashed and my alarm light inside stayed ignited even while driving (like the alarm was going off while i was driving?). SOOO long story short took it to Toyota and they reset it for me FOR FREE!! Hope this helps.. unfortunatly I dont live near a toyota garage, does anyone know how to do it manualy ? |
