The carbon hood is pretty sweet, IMO i like it better on dark cars eg. Black tongue.gif

But hell it looks good, and the idea of a thin coat of paint sounds good to!

But bro we need more pics! biggrin.gif

Major racing teams remove the head lamp assembly and replace it with a CAI, it is a pretty normal thing to do on track cars, just have to ensure all other stuf A/F etc.. adjusted, and dont drive at Night! tongue.gif

Just had a look at the stock stats on the 3SGE engine, top speed is 139mph then rev limiter kicks in.

Hmm, you guys seem to have very low top speeds.

I hit 125mph Ish easily in mine with still quite a bit left, i reckon will take it to 130+mph with long enougth road rolleyes.gif

Oh yeah the higher top speed ive got might be due to the 3SGE engine. I think the rev limiter cuts the top speed to around 135mph though thats whats on the car stats anyhow.

DOGGY has the S-AFC helped with perfromance, thinking of purchasing one myself.

Fensport are a good call for toyota owners in the UK, ive had a few things off them, good service and help.

I have an imported Celica GT, in the UK with the 3SGE engine, which by the way lets have a look at that beutiful engine....heehee tongue.gif

Im not too sure what the standard engine was for UK built celicas, but i have been told the imported models have a bit more bhp than the UK ones, this is reflected in the insurance! mad.gif

Anyhows if you have the same engine as above, congrats!
I have a blitz intake on it which i think has helped a little, and a S/S exhaust, although wish i went for a branded one now as the pipe is a little crushed bent mad.gif so avoid people like powerflow!

Congrats on the new car anyhow!

That pic with the Blitz front painted, looks pretty good.
Looks like that guy had the front moulded to the fenders.

Still not convinced on moulding the sides, especially as some day you may want to remove the front bumper, but looks good tongue.gif

Either way, your not going to feel a difference in power/performance on our Celica's.

Not necessarily, as if a bend is crushed too much the exhaust could be more restrictive than stock frown.gif

And the whole idea of buying an aftermarket exhaut is to try to achieve a little more performance, than stock!

When you bend a pipe using a crush style machine the diameter of the pipe will vary, so at the bend due to the crushing process the diameter of the pipe will become smaller hence restricting the air flow.

Now mandrel pipe bending, im not too sure on the process, but the result is a piping bent to what ever required, whilst maintaining the original desire diameter of piping throught out, including on bends, thus retaining the desired free flow of the pipe.

If you get me, i hope ive explained it clearly, but anyhow, thats pipes! rolleyes.gif

Thats if it turns out good though biggrin.gif This is my first time working with fiberglass. All I did was read the directions. biggrin.gif

0reo Have you split the mould at all in order to get the original out?! If you get me.

I would have thought the bumper would have to split in order to get your copys out without breakage, have you had any problems?

So what do you guys do if you need to remove the front bumper then.

Cos am i right in thinking to remove even the headlamps you need to remove the front bumper, let alone adding a nice intercooler when doing the 3s-GTE swap tongue.gif biggrin.gif

Any thing is possible, if you have a spare celica front bumper, you could go to a good body shop and they could cut the Supra front up to fit onto the original celica front and then try to mould it all in and hopefully fit it okay.

There are a lot of UK kids buying copy veilside bumpers over here and making them fit european cars, so cant see any difference in you doing it to fit a celica, just loadsa work involved! rolleyes.gif

bowdown.gif You are right - any pulling power till 4k, and the peak power on 7A-FE (dont know for 3S-GE) is on 5.3K rpm

Where does the rev-limiter kick in on the 7A-FE ?

I am slightly surprised that on average you guys shift at 4K-5K when aggresive driving.

Daily Driving shift around 3k (Try to save money on petrol, UK prices are scandalous! mad.gif )

Aggressive driving shift around 6K+, i have gone more hit the rev limiter alot to! rolleyes.gif (Need to get a shift light fitted!!! wink.gif )

I have the 3SGE engine if that makes a differance. wink.gif

With the 16 valve engines you dont really find any pulling power untill youve hit 4K rpm.

So theres no way to say mould the front in, then say if you had to take the front bumper of take it of as a whole, including the fenders, and then fit it back on once done.

Right just want to double check something.

If you mould a front bumper to the fenders, eg. The Blitz Front Bumper to the fenders on each side.

Will this mean the front bumper will not be removable in the future, after the moulding has taken place, or is there a way around it?
