presure, ur hopeless dude.. whoever appointed u as a moderator needs to be shot. you obviously have no reading comprehension, your replys to me dont even make sense. you call me a failboat.. when the only thing ive failed at is noticing how much of an a$$ you are. So just keep quoting me and replying with "moron" or "failboat".. b/c to be honest its very humorous to see someone as old as you arguing with me.. and your supposed to be this wise all knowing moderator.. laugh.gif "lames need to be arrested" couldnt agree more lol. biggrin.gif

Well since its OBVIOUS presure or anyone else doesnt know any history about me, besides the 1 time i decided to post something on this site last summer, Ill give you guys my run down.. first time I starting reading this site.. aug 06, when I first bought my car. I looked at what other ppl did to their cars, and I said to myself hmm maybe sometime down the road when I get some money Ill try and do something like a turbo or a swap as well.. First time i read wilson's how to turbo ur 5sfe was jan 07.. thats when I was working full time.. looked at the basic parts needed and recommended.. sounds interesting.. but wouldnt a swap be easier?? probably a month later i looked at defgeph's post on how he swapped a 2nd gen gt4 into his st.. Which is probably the best sticky on this site in my opinion.. I know that sticky backwards and have it as one of my favorites.. it took roughly a year to determine what i wanted to do.. but i made a descision and went for a 3rd gen gt4 engine swap.. like i keep trying to tell ppl here.. MONEY and TIME was the reason the swap was failure.. not my lack of research.. if ppl would spend less time being a follower and assuming things about me, maybe i would have avoided having to defend myself every post I put up.. Presure, thats cool that you spent 4years plus on your research and that you actually had the TIME to had done your turbo, but unfortunatly not everyone has the time to do stuff as intense as a turbo or swap you know, nevertheless i was thrilled that you guys had done these amazing projects.. i commend you.. despite your opinions about me.. and trust me.. I know a great more about my car then you guys think.. oh and my intercooler questions was because I wanted to explore other options than FMIC... of course thats the best bet.. but the design is very time consuming.. which was why i was trying to work around that.. I really wish ppl would get a grip on soo many smart comments... i should have just stayed underground like my friends warned me.. but they are members of a BMW forum.. and I thought celica owners are more friendly.. apparently that isnt the case..

thank god.

why do you even need to post this? maybe u need to feel good by posting smart comments so your buddies(butt kissers) can join in and post their non helpful 2 cents as well.. but hey thats 6gc for u. laugh.gif

"dude we say this b/c you havent done any research.. wtf is a rear mount intercooler? that means youve done zero research.. your mechanic charged too much.. youve done zero research.." im sure a similar post like this is coming.

Nothing is better then the rear mount intercooler.

oh ok.. i had that feeling.. but it looks hella difficult to install that.. but i mite as well.. sicne the rear mount is cheaper so do you think that turbo kit is legit? b/c i will actually have the time and materials to do a turbo kit.. i ahve winter break comming up so i can round up some friends and start it up

Yes sidemount FTW - come on man - you really can't be this clueless if you're gonna make this work for you. Like everyone has been trying to tell you since you joined - DO YOUR RESEARCH. Know what you are getting into before you get started.

im doing research now.. i havent bought anything.. thats why i was asking.. i asked for opinion on turboing the 5s.. not buying that turbo kit..

i may.. all i need to get will after that will b the fuel pump, clutch, and the intercooler.. the seller is saying to get the side mount intercooler, they cost more but they look easier to install rather than the rear mount or top mount

QUOTE (RUNNIN-LOW @ Dec 8, 2008 - 1:24 PM) *
i think u should just do the swap since you have the motor there already with you...there is no point in spending more money when u can dump the extra cash your going to use on turboing your 5s...but its really up to u if you want to do that..

turbo 5s or 3rd gen swap, i choose the third gen swap anyday..

naw i already sold the engine

Im really getting more and more interest into just turboing my 5sfe engine, i was checking out some turbo kits on ebay for an 5sfe engine.. and 1 guy is selling an rebuilt turbo kit taken out from his 5sfe engine for only 200 bucks plus 60 shipping.. so im just wondering if this is a good idea, not in terms of buying his rebuilt engine.. but turboing my engine period. I mean i still want an Gt4, but im thinking maybe ill hold that off till i graduate and just buy another GT and dp the swap.. b/c i really love celicas smile.gif... and I also think I can do it myself!!!

heres the link to the turbo kit taken from an 5sfe engine:

yea i bought many parts from that guy.. hes legit.. but his shipping is kinda rediculous.. thats the only thing i hate about him.. b/c hes from japan.. so he doesnt really know the best shipping methods.. whoever wants to buy this clip is prolly gonna end up paying anywhere from 2 to 3 gs for shipping alone

I'm confused? You bought the motor for 2600 and are now selling it for 900, you say your in school so how do those numbers match up? If this is serious and not some joke I will galdly drive this weekend to your house and purchase the motor.

i bought it for 2600 included shipping in august, but i just dont have the desire to put it in anymore.. so i dont really mind to sell it off for 900.. i guess its b/c im broke and i dont get paid again till january. Its getting kinda hard to b in school with no money lolol.. but then again i would love to have the GT4 power.. but either way its not fair to the engine.. since its just sitting and not being put in so Id rather someone that has the money to get it installed rather than keep it waiting till january.. ill pm u this reply as well

you just need to figure out how to do the wiring harness yourself or ask someone to loan you some money and send it to dr.tweak

you can do the wiring for that yourself. On the 3rd gen it's very easy, you would just need 2 relays.
Also from looking at the pics from the ebay link your missing a few things.

what am i missing?
