I've been lagging on one of these, but I finally have the time to start one up. My mods will come slowly but surely due to minimum wage But I'll keep truckin'!
I was actually trying and trying so hard to buy a 240, I love the things, but every single one I'd find was either too expensive because they were all SR20'd and S15'd out, or too beat down and crappy. But then one day I came across this Celica because the poster had put '240sx' as a tag. I had honestly never even considered a Celica for a second, when I thought Celica, I thought 7gc, and I never liked those. But once I saw this Celica, I fell in love. And thanks to Spider77, I found this site and it's helped me since day 1. Now that I've got a progress thread, I'll start updating it often. Thanks for looking!
The first day I got her. I actually bought her from a member, vi-tuyen.
Then the very first mod when I started working... early June. Injen SRI w/ Fujita filter. Bought from trdproven.
Out
In
Then I picked up an OEM strut bar from a local part out in late June
Three days after the strut bar, I got into a fender bender with an 18 wheeler. I swiped his tire. Luckily, I was fine, and no damage to the truck, and little damage to my car.
Damage assessment: Cracked bumper, totaled RH fender, smashed sidemarker, bent strut, bent wheel.
Literally 20 minutes before the wreck
sexy angle
Then when I got home afterwards
Side
Front (see the obvious neg camber? lolol)
At least now you have good offset... Your tyres are sticking past the fenders right?
nice! keep us updated. and go at it with the modding, once you start,.... you'll NEVER stop! hahhahaah
I didn't take a whole lot of pics of the repair process, as it's kind of hard for only two people to work and one to take pictures. Next time, I'll have a designated picture-taker. But until I get the rest uploaded, here's the final product of my little weekend project
On 7/24, exactly a month after the wreck, I finally collected all the parts I needed to complete the repair. My buddy Taylor came over at 11:00am and we started work.
Facelifted bumper I pulled off a local '98 GT. Originally white, had it painted 202
Fender from Taiwan (Had slight trouble with fitment.) Also painted 202
We got the crushed fender and headlight out and Taylor was working on the LH liner
Forgot to take out the stock intake resonator when I installed the Injen back in June.. woops!
We were wondering what to do with the bent bracket, then the mailman pulled up and low and behold, the bracket I ordered from novak17 came right on time!
Little close up of the bumper
Taylor's got a new drift charm! lolol
(we bent up the damaged fender)
I gave the old bumper to my uncle, he wants to make some sort of light for the garage out of it...
Teaser pic that I had put up earlier
I didn't do too good of a job with the pictures, but I remembered every now and then. We worked straight from 11;00am to 5:00pm with no breaks. Fun little weekend project!
WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOT!! haha
nice job man! lovin the work. Can't wait to see it once you get some more of your new parts in and then put on!
way to go
Looking pretty good, maybe I'll have a chance to meet up with you this sunday?
Its nice to see the celica back up and looking better than ever.
Just ordered the crystal clear Depo turn signals from eBay
Did you get the full set or just the signals?
Welp, found out I have a flat today. It'll be repaired tomorrow afternoon. I'm rolling on the spare right now. But on the bright side, I installed the diamond clear Depo turn signals yesterday and I received the SSIII grille and fog covers I ordered from vincent_doggy today. Pictures up later.
WOW you did great work!!
Here's hoping the gremlins leave the Celica community!!
Finally got around to making my SSIII grille fit. I put in the pins, but they would hold to the crash bar, so I could only think of one thing... my trusty roll of black duct tape worked perfectly! And I used 3 thin zip ties to secure the grille to the 3 posts in the middle.
Crappy cell phone picture, but you guys get the gist Notice Piccolo on the rearview? SPECIAL BEAM CANNON!
On a simpler note, I went to Home Depot and replaced the rear license plate bolts (Used to be RUSTY) Now they're nice and shiny And I ordered a set of Falken 512's!
I like the progress youve made with this so far. Its a shame that the seller didnt include all the other stuff with it...But it is looking nice.
looks great. keep up the good work. you need those coilovers you ordered! haha.
Welp, Megan Racing pissed me off. After I ordered the coilovers on May 18th, the initial backorder was 3 weeks, so I expected maybe 5 weeks tops. It quickly turned into 11 weeks. And on Thursday, when the truck that the coilovers were supposed to be on finally came in... FINALLY... they unloaded it and coilovers were nowhere to be found. They made a few calls and the workers at the factory forgot to load them. The factory in TAIWAN! Now they said it'll be another 3-4 weeks and I said no. I withdrew my order. Now I'm looking to buy the BC coilovers, but I'll have to wait a little longer until I make the extra money..
On another note, I put a decal on my car today
I know it's gay, but it's just the right amount of rice and I love it! But that's it for decals... I don't wanna look like NASCAR. lol
Wow, sucks about your coilovers...they should of offered you some sort of discount or something to try and compensate.
In all honesty then, if they did nothing to keep you as a customer, then it's probably not worth all that hassle.
Roger that!
11 weeks just sucks. forget them.
Go BC and never look back!
I got my Falken 512's installed and got an alignment done today. Hooray for new shoes!
I never had the clear turns, I bought the sidemarkers from a member on here awhile back...
Hope you find my car though, good stuff on it.
Just painted my OEM strut bar SSIII red. Kind of a useless mod, I know, but it looks better than the stock black. Plus it's a Thursday afternoon and I had nothing to do, so why not? I'll put up a picture later when it cures enough to install.
Here's the painted strut bar
I gotta clean up in there...
looking good!
Jeez...wish my Injen was black. Looks nice though, hopefully I can see it in person this sunday!
Thanks guys! And yeah, hopefully!
Oh damn, I didn't know you had a progress thread. I feel like a jackass now. I have to say man, you are coming along really nicely with it all and I'm loving every step you are taking! Keep up the great work and hopefully I can meet up with you one of these days
Thanks man! I sure hope so! Will you be able to cruise with us on Sunday?
I'm hoping so. I find out tomorrow but I don't get my hopes up anymore sadly. Gotta love work
Edit: Woot! Page 3!
Well let's keep our fingers crossed!
Well I was right again. No dice. Stuck working all day again. Enjoy the cruise though and hopefully I'll have another oppurtunity
That sucks man But definitely!
Maaan you had to move already?! I really wanted to meet up with you before you moved
I can still admire your progress on here though Hope you enjoy it down there man! Maybe one of these days I'll run into you
I'll be coming back regularly, so definitely!
Since I had to move to Albuquerque for college, I'm now out of a job. So until I find a job over here, no more significant progress
But I did finally take out the disgusting sticker that went over the top of my rear window! 2 razor blades and a damp paper towel took care of it. For some reason, it smelled like complete crap..
i know this is a stupid question but what is that this right behind the right( when you looking from the front) strut. it looks like a megaphone or something.
I got that with my new Tennessee plates, just have to install them. Goodbye texas plates and stupid smog checks!
have to love michigan for only making u have one plate on your car
Hells yeah, both cars have been registered in the great state on Tennessee! And where my HOR is, they have no requirement for smog/saftey check. WOOOOOOOOOOOT!
Yeah, the navy throws me a few bones here and there.
Finally some progress! I bought a spare ash tray from mkernz22 (I didn't wanna mess my original one up if my little project didn't work out). So I got it today, and I had some CF sticker that I wasn't too sure about, so I started wrapping the spare with it. To my surprise, the adhesive was GREAT! It stuck really nicely and I was able to wrap the ash tray lid pretty well. Job well done, I'd say!
In my dorm, just finished it. My roommate was eying me weird the whole time. Like "Wtf is he doing?"
Installed
Close up of the CF sticker
I'm a pretty big fan of that sticker stuff. I've always had it planned in my head to throw it onto assorted pieces in the interior.
Gotta say that looks real real nice!
Thanks guys! That was my very first shot at wrapping anything!
Thanks bro!
That looks pretty sweet with the CF sticker/ wrapping! I thought you were just going to put it in your car with the white showing and i was like wtf? ok lol, what ever he wants, but now I see why you got it! Looks great! I might have to do that with mine!
Lol glad I could inspire people
when i go off to school i might try to wrap some parts in cf.. i love what you did, that looks sharp.
Thanks man. I think that's it though. I don't wanna go over load on CF lol
And today, I took her to Just Brakes and got the front rotors/pads and rear drums/shoes replaced. I got ceramic pads up front
Just bought about $260 worth of Celica goodies.
pics?
When I get them! Patience! Haha
ok ok ..i just moved into my aprt. for school so im always on here watchin like a hawk for good things to read or see in this case.
Same here. I used to be in Fort Worth, TX but now I'm in Albuqeurque for school. I'm so bored up here. But I'll have pics up as soon as I get the stuff. I'll keep it shrouded in mystery till then. Haha
I got the 3 white LEDs that I ordered for my guages from superbrightleds.com, I just haven't taken a picture 'cause every time it's dark enough, I'm in my room studying and I forget. I think the one that lights up the tach isn't working 100% because it's not lighting up as much as the speedo
Hopefully the other 2 things I got will be here soon
I got part #2 of my Celica bundle! Euro option splitters thanks to smirnoff! Took me a little while to get them installed because I had to frantically find clips for the bolts, but they're on there now!
I unwrapped them like a 4 year old on Christmas morning
Front view
Nice side view
She's REALLY dirty but I've just been so preoccupied with school and what not. She'll get clean soon!
nice man lookin sexy.. if i still had my original front bumper it would have definatly done something like that.
Looking good Hector, I'm getting a kick knowing that some parts from my car are enjoying there new home in New Mexico
looking good with the euro splitters, how you doing that in a school parking garage?
I found a parking space in a corner with almost a whole other parking space worth of space, but it's not a parking space. So I park my car at an angle. Creativity ftw!
And thanks!
Got my brand spankin' new JDM tails from vincent today!
Unfortunately, I can't install them yet because I'm waiting on the JDM harnesses to get here from home. Hopefully they'll be here tomorrow, then I'll have some finished product pics! I've been waiting for these for half a year! To me, it's the 2nd best exterior mod I'll ever do, after my facelift bumper upgrade.
whoo~!!!! seriously one of the best exterior mods u can do!
man, nothing looks better than those tails. Gotta love them
wooo!! lookin sharp
I'm gonna be going on a mods lent for a little while since I'm in college and no job yet. If I get great deals then of course, I'll get stuff but mostly, I'm gonna focus on school for a while.
Next big mods will be coilovers (NEEEEED EM), rear SSIII splitters(maybe front as well, still haven't decided if I like the Euros better), and 404 or TRD skirts! Gotta have me a sexy shell for a BEAMS
JDM rear lights are the best exterior mod here in the UK as well (along with projectors, but they are just stupidly expensive), much better looking that the original ones
disc conversion next.
Well if anything Brake pads upgrade and change brake fluid first. At least thats my plan, personally im not that confident late braking and tailing other cars at times. Feel that its spongey but ive driven alot more worse cars with ****ty brake systems.
I got my brakes replaced 2 weeks ago all around. Rotors/pads up & drums/shoes. She stops SO clean now, I love it.
What pads did you switch to? I want to change mine soon when meat is gone.
EBC Green Stuff is good for dd, lots of dust but a good pad, Yellow and red are great too, Just dont really bite untill they heat up
Installed the JDM tails today! Still haven't got around to de-badging though. And she's DIRTY
Looks good!
Thanks!
those tails look great, but i have always wondered, do cops bother about the car not having the rear sidemarker anymore??
jdm tails really update the look of our cars, but i am always fearful about that because the police here will find any reason to pull people over.
samir, I was wondering the same thing. I mean, no one on here with JDM tails has ever posted "Gawwww just got pulled over for not having that damn sidemarker!" topic before, so I think as long as we don't drive like a bat out of hell, cops won't mind.
man those looks sweet, nice buy hector!
tails look great on the car Hector, excited to see the debadged look. What are you going to use to debadge and remove the glue?
Well I went to get the gunk off and low and behold, the Goo-Gone worked! Unfortunately, the glue was so old and fused to the hatch lid, it took some of the clear coat off with it
Here's the damage
That's why I did it one at a time just in case something like this happened. So I'll save the de-badging for when I paint her... midnight blue
That's no fun, I'm going to debadge all but the Toyota logo in a week or so. Hopefully it doesn't take the clear with it. I like your paint choice though, gonna look goooood.
sorry to see the clear like that. but think of it this way, it doesn't look like my car where half the clear is gone!
I've had some black 202 touch up paint for my bird sh!t-looking brake fluid stain on the rear bumper but I've just been busy with homework, I haven't had to the time to go out and do it. Hopefully within the week!
I've really been considering debadging my Celica as well, Just the toyota and celica logos.
But I really don' want this to happen 'cause I don't plan to repaint any time soon haha.
Touched up my paint today
It's still visible, but hey, badly done black is better than white that contrasts to heavily lol. I say, success!!
did you de-badge all of it? pics? i might be interested in doing this
aaa i c... im pumped to see that beast in midnight blue, such a sexy color!
TRD ftw!!!!
Amen!!
oh so yours is a hatchback, oh no!
nah jk.....
nice progress,
Lol thanks man
Look what IIII goooooottt
My old one looked fade-ish so I bought this one as a pair. I'm giving the other one to one of my best friends that happens to have a black '91 MR2. So it all works out!
woot woot!! trd ftw!
Easternpiro1 likes this
It's the only thing I have that's TRD! It adds 12 hp! Dyno proven! Bahaha
That there is sweet my friend!
On a side note, we need a "Like" button on this forum! bahaha
Just a random picture I decided to take today
As my mind fancies at the moment, these are the plans I have for my car.
Step 1- Paint match my Euro splitters to my 202 black
Step 2- Get either BC BR series or Megan Racing street series coilovers, then install the Racing Beat Miata endlinks and the Eibach camber bolts I have.
Step 3- Get new wheels with better offsets. I'm thinking 17x8 for front and 17x9 for rear. Then get spacers if I still need them. I'd really love a set of Work Emotion XD9's but... THEY'RE SO PRICEY
Step 4- Save up money for OEM or TRD sideskirts and SSIII rear splitters AND a paint job. That way I can do it all at once. I've got my mind set on midnight blue, LAM. 224910. I'll also be completely debadging the rear and removing my wing at this point. I'll keep it though.
Step 5- Get JDM projector lows, clear highs and kouki fogs.
Step 6- Have a sexy, well-handling DD and be like "HAHAHAHA I LOOK GOOD"
Got a brand new Bosch battery!
Hey Manny, ban this spammer ^
there's gotta be a way to ban or filter out the mothfukers....he's just the same guy before.
I know! It's ridiculous..
Ahh my first edited picture.
Nice hector, the ss-3 euro combo looks awesome!! Is that a pool of water i see developing in your high beam?
Nah man, there's no water in there. I'm guess that at one point there might've been and now there's a stain. But I've checked, there's no water. I've just been too lazy to take the lens off and clean up
And thanks! I love it. I just wanna be different from all the SSIII kits I see lol. I'll call it Euress three
Thanks man! But I'm definitely rolling my fenders before I get new wheels. I may stick with 17x8 all around, just for tire convenience lol. I don't want the hellaflush look, but I definitely want to be more flush and have a wider stance, I just don't want to kill my bearings with large spacers.
Hector just wants it wide in the rear, how hard is that to understand?
Ferdi
Wow those look super nice! That's about the amount of flushness I want for mine. Both front and rear. What offset are those?
Alright that's what I want, +35 to +30 looks damn good! Thanks
Definitely will do!! Hopefully I'll be able to get new wheels by the summer. I'm going to focus on suspension till then.
I have 18x8's + 35, and they are just a tinny bit away from flush in the rear.
The front is REALLY close and I'm pretty content with it.
The back are decent, could use a small spacer, but I'm still pretty happy with them.
My tires rub like a 1/16th of an inch on my rear fencer.
I just bent the rear lip up a bit and its good.
my tires are 225 40's as well.
These are the best pictures I have of it stance, sorry, they're not the greatest
^He is lowered on Tien S-techs as well.. That makes me want 18's haha
I definitely wanna stay at 17 inch, but the +35mm offset is looking good! I think that I'll keep them like that up front but I'll get a pair of 10mm spacer for rear, since the rear end is bigger. I'll be buying either Megan Racing coilovers or BC BR series coils. And thanks for the input guys!!
SPACERS!!!!! im getting huge spacers lol, i could just buy a dished rim..... but i love the 7th gen rims too much....
Or... dish the 7th gen rim!!
how would i dish a rim thats not dished already?
^Humor fail^
Flushed wheels on your car will be AWESOME hector.Wanna divulge your rim ideas?
^English Failed^
Incorrect: Flushed wheels on your car will be AWESOME on your car hector.
Correct: Flush wheels on your car will be AWESOME Hector.
I'm just being an a$$ haha
(This is what being on Co-Op does to me)
Well, dont you just look stupid now...
yeahh pretty much lol
i'm so bored it isn't even funny.
She got on oil change on Friday and I cleaned the Fujita air filter yesterday. She's all clean now
In addition to fixing my shredded timing belt, I replaced the water pump so I don't have to screw around with it in the future.
Damn XD 9's would look so dope, Looking good Hector
i've always wanted these....these are a recommendation. Works Vsxx
Meh.. those look pretty good but have you seen my pictures on my profile? Those look wayyyy too similar to the set I have now. I want something different lol
hahaha...i didn't even notice that.
in that case, if money is not the issue....get these (my dream wheels):
IN 18in:
OR
IN 17in:
Those C-One's look great, But I like the XD9's better because they have a slight lip. I don't really like the spokes to be right on the rim. And those XD9's are about $400-450 a wheel I'm trying to find a similar wheel that's cheaper.
Hec,
I'm with chacha on those C-One SA-70s or your could go to the source and get some WedsSport SA-70s.
Diamond racing steelies...... do it..... **** someone do it, i wanna see how it looks
Here is the pic on a 7gc....you seen what oem rims 7gc provide to the 6gc looks like....imagine these on the 6gc. not forcing on you...just keep looking if you have something else in mind; that way, you'll definitely have no regrets buying them
Mehhh... I'm just not really feeling the C-Ones. And Mike, that first wheel looks pretty good, but I REALLY like the second wheel you put!
Got some new wipers. Those nice Rain-X ones. Mine were starting to streak.
And I'm now thinking of RPF1's as my wheel choice.
I've decided. when it comes time to buy new wheels, I'm getting 17x8, 35mm, F1 silver, Enkei RPF1 wheels.
What i want for the Trac but in a little more agressive offset

Today's my birthday so a small birthday gift to me! I bought brass shifter bushings and a 7gc short shifter!
Happy birthday Hector! How old are you now? Lemme know how that brass bushings are.
Uh let me just say happy burfday, and the the brass shifter bushings are ahhhmazing, i thought the short shifter made it great, but words cannot describe how amazing the brass bushings feel
Happy Birthday!
Thanks guys
Replaced some nasty-looking spark plugs with NGK G-Powers. Took me forever to adjust the gap on them...
Next on my tune-up list: Radiator flush and seafoam before next oil change.
you know... i never got around to saying it... butttttttt....
HAPPY HAPPY BIRTHDAY, HAPPY HAPPY BIRTHDAY,
HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU HECTOR!
haha...
i'm thinking when i'm in ait in arizona later this year in the fall, i might pop by for a visit!
(:
That'd be cool man! Albuquerque ain't too far away! Lol
Just got my 7gc short shifter and brass shifter bushings today!
Feliz cumpleaņos Hector. Many happy years to enjoy your car.
Just bought $300 worth of stuff, a few people know what but I'll keep it on the DL until I get my hands on them. I'm quite excited for this
Hey Hector I was wondering what paint did you use for your front sway bar? It looks sexy.
factory paint for sustec sways
yea lol still learning but hey man it looks clean. thanks for the info!!
Just got these babies in today thanks to AMCMoe
I'll be installing them on Saturday along with the Racing Beat Miata endlinks I've had since June '10. (I thought I'd have coilovers by that August, but Megan Racing is utterly retarded, so no.)
And depending on whether I have too much negative camber in the rear (Which I strongly doubt), I'll also install a set of Eibach adjustable camber bolts.
Needless to say, I'm fcuking excited. My struts are so blown, I can feel a leaf when I run over it
But seriously, I'm 99% certain that they're the OEM struts/springs it rolled out of the factory with on 1995.
That was fast! Enjoy. Your rear camber will be fine - any alignment place will be able to get it within factory spec, or you can have a place do a more custom alignment for you if you want. I had Twos R Us endlinks, those Racing Beats look nice.
Man I wanted to buy those from amc moe!!! Ahhh. Lucky.
I've had Sportlines, and the TRD's are just rebranded Sportlines. You won't need the camber bolts, but you'll definitely enjoy having the new setup. Looks good
Good to know, I'll just keep the bolts in reserve for a bit longer lol.
I think I'm gonna replace the swap bar bushings with a pair of SuperPro 16mm PU bushings I have in reserve as well.
Eibach was contracted to produce the springs for TRD, however they are relabeled Pro-Kit springs with the 1" drop instead of the 1.5" Sportline drop. I've had Sportlines with KYB's as well, and they were a bit stiffer than these TRD's/KYB's. Both are great setups!
Crap, you finally lowering?! Seeing those endlinks makes me want to go out and get some.
Ah, those rear end links... They get the best of most of us. I find that stringing a series of curse words together in an angry fashion is most beneficial. Then an Allen wrench solves everything.
Dont wanna step in, but stripped...
Get PB blaster, soak that mothersucker. All over. More baby, more.
...uhh...
...no, wait. But get the PB blaster and soak it, then use a breaker with along with your tool of choice. Mine came off that way.
Been talking with him off and on today. Already sprayed, stripped allen recess, vice grips were a no go. Sometimes ya just got to tear that sh*t apart, cut, torch, but has no access to either. But if he was HERE we could get it all taken care of...............but nooooooooooooooooooooo..had to go to New Mexico, had to go to college....blah blah blah. Hector, I know you wanna go to pep boys, but hell, get a hacksaw and do that sh*t the hard way if ya gotta.
I once went over to a friends house to install some LCA's on his TA...yeah, there was a lot of hacksawing above our heads, but we did it! And it was glorious! All Im saying is if you have to go to a shop (wherever it is...and I know the situation out there) so be it, but if you can find a way to DIY, then by all means.
Yeah Ferdi, I think I sprayed at least a quart of pb blaster on that fcuker. Lol Still a no go. Damn, I could get a hack saw...
I'm not gonna lie. I figured out the bit about the Allen wrench AFTER I cut mine off with a grinder. And if I had to go back and do it again, I'd still use the grinder just because it's fun to use completely unnecessary force.
I Hate OEM endlinks..... so many poor dremel wheels loos their lives that day
Yeah that will happen lol, it sucks but it will be fine lol
Woot! You are finally lowering! Its ok hector, it took me forever to lower myself... just ask spider
I demand pics of this dammed endlink rust
Took me 8 hours to completely lower my car.
But i messed up the first rear strut mount in the top so i had to do that corner twice.
And I have to drive to a shop lowered on three corners because i could not get one of the bottom strut colts out, so they had to cut it off.
It was a long day, but felt so good when it was done.
Update? Ya all lowered now?
She's all buttoned up! The ride's a lot tighter. A tad rough at times due to the higher spring rates, but much smoother! And even though it's only a 1.5" drop, she looks a lot sexier. I'll get pictures up tomorrow hopefully, it's too dark right now.
But as you know, I took it to Pep Boys to get the rears put on because I couldn't get the bolts for the endlinks off. They had to cut each endlink in two pieces Anyway, when I got her back, I noticed that the trunk light doesn't come on, the door ajar light doesn't come on, the seat belt light doesn't come on, and the clock doesn't come on. What the hell could they have touched in the rear to affect these things!!?? I have no idea, I don't see how that could've happened. I'm taking her back up there tomorrow so they can check the fuses since I don't own a multimeter.
I forgot I had taken a quick shot with my phone. I'll get some better ones tomorrow with my actual camera.
Here's a close up of the reduced wheel gap
Thats a pretty good phone pic lol
I like your rims keep them. But the offset is a different matter. But then again who cares, dont be a hellaflushfag.
LOL, nah nah nah don't worry about that. I loved that video you posted the other day on FB. Lol I definitely need at least 20mm spacers in the rear to make it look good and not sunken in, and maybe 10-15mm spacers in the front.
Got out today after class, went up to the top of the parking structure, and snapped some pictures, enjoy.
A nice profile
Some TRD bling (I'm happy to say that it took some maneuvering to get the camera in the wheel well )
The Racing Beat endlinks, I gotta make some time this week so grease them... A LOT. They squeak sometimes.
Capture some New Mexico mountains.
Slightly artsy shot? I dunno. I gotta get my girlfriend to do a shoot, she's a photographer.
I'm so happy with how she handles now. I have yet to find some twisties around here, but I've been swerving more than usual
Looks good, Hector. It's what the car needed.
dude...i didn't even notice your car is lowered in this shoot until i saw the trd springs..you really need those coilovers lol. your ride height looks like my super worn settled stock spring height..
hahahahhahahahahhaha poor hector...its like you have stock springs ....But it does look good
Give it time Hector. we just giving you beef cuz that's what friends are for
Looks good man, too bad it had to come at the cost of some interior lighting.
You have finger gap?bwahahhahahahaha..im at like -2...
they do that on purpose to make you come back and take more of your money..
Nice drop, have fun with the handling.

Shade is priceless, I wish I had that.
Oh, I believe I haven't said anything nice about your lowaring, so let me do that for yous.
AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
HHHHHHHHHHHH FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU
UUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU-
Suspension twins FTW. Feels nice eh? I need to start auto-crossing my setup, but you did the exact same thing I did when I first got lowered (almost a year ago now, 2/13/10), I was all I'M GONNA SWERVE THIS BITCH UUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUP.
So yeah, congratulations.
Um..........85 to 165. Go South after Placitas towards Tijeras. Hit some 8500 feet in elevation, roads look decent enough. Hell, thats in your backyard. SHould really go to Hwy 4. Thats only about two hours away? If I was out there, thats all I would do is drive the mountains. Lucky!
Here is Placitas/Tijeras.....great place to start (looks like it)
Josh, you're awesome. Lol
Thanks. Youve got a lot of nice areas to drive, should take advantage of it while you are there. If this wasnt too far for me, Id be there for sure!
Once the weather gets better, I'm definitely gonna check this out. Thanks!
Where did puerto rico come from..?
Jon was commenting on how the distance of the route that Josh posted was like driving around the whole island (Hawaii) so I connected that with Puerto Rico since that's where I'm from and that island is pretty damn tiny as well. Lol
So I took the drive that Josh suggested and may I say, it was AWESOME. Total elevation change was about 4,500 feet. The climb up was nice and scenic, but the ride down was very, VERY fun. The GR2/TRD setup I have performs beautifully. I had a buddy riding with me to take pictures. Here's a few...
Here's me on a bench with a snow ottoman.
A beautiful S-curve.
A hard right turn.
I was going about 65 at this specific moment.
In the zone... lol
sweet!! roads look like a blast to drive on!
That S- Curve looks mad fun.
So jealous! haha.
I think a more appropriate name for your car would be the flying ranger ..I keed i keed
Those roads look sweet. I would LOVE to shred that S curve in my st165.
I installed the OEM mudguards that I got from upscale. I couldn't get a good picture though. Lol
Norberto. Reminds me of walking around town in Cataņo, Puerto Rico.
I just recently painted my Euro splitters, so I took a few pictures to show them off.
You can't see the splitters in this picture... but I thought it looked good
I wish I knew a better place around here to take scenic pictures
Bought a set of kouki fogs, but I shipped them back home, since that's where I'll be in about 3 weeks. I'm excited
Finally, some significant progress. I got my header installed today. Was supposed to happen last summer, but unexpected costs came up, so the header ended up sitting in my room for a year.
Thoughts, impressions?
Definitely not what I expected. I knew I wouldn't have a significant increase in noise, what with my GReddy SP1 and all, but there's only a very slight difference in noise. Very slight. I haven't driven it enough to notice anything else yet, however...
Really? So It's not much louder at all?
Thats unfortunate lol
I mean, I can notice a difference. It idles a bit more aggressively and it's definitely a different sound. It's just not what I expected
Does it sound bad?
And yours is an ST right?
Getting rid of the cast manifold will give the sound more of a rasp.
Looks good.
Yeah, it's an ST. Like I said, I liked the sound before, and it didn't change much, and I still like it. I just thought the tone would be a tad bit stronger is all.
When you get rid of your cast iron header you gain raspyness. Nice kyb sticker ricer.
I'm getting some work done on my car. I want to take care of problems before buying more mods. Problems that will be fixed on this visit are:
1.) My brake pad mysteriously failing.
2.) Oil leak (found out it was an axle seal, the same shop did my axle last year, so that part should be free due to the warranty)
3.) Burning oil (combined with the leak, it got to a point where I was going through a quart every week or so)
4.) Rough idle (probably a vacuum leak, probably can fix it myself, but it's already going to the mech, so why not)
Then she'll be nice and healthy!! She's been there since Monday and I'm getting anxious.

I'm getting restless, not being able to get new things for my car, so I got bored and modified these.
Like hell I'm paying $30-$50 for the OEM GT-Four ones.
Your strut bar is HellaFlush
Hey man bump on a fun thread and really nice ST... inspiring stuff!
i dont get the golden ranger thing
Damn, The pictures of your car look ****in great!! That is until I saw your engine bay, leave that picture out lol the one with the 7a fe
oh must be an age thing.....
lol
I got quoted $70 here in Aus lol.
Finally got my post face fogs installed. Here's a sh!tty cell phone shot after a much-deserved wash. I need a better camera...
Next step, wider wheels!
*thumbsup*
Looking good Hec.
naaah space em out! they are good wheels!
get +25 fronts and +20 Rears.
Got my bonnet shocks and I absolutely love them. Raise the hood, shocks do the rest while I grab my tools. Excellent!! Most useful mod I've done.
Currently hassling with a loose wire leading to the male connector for my driver side low beam. It'll hopefully be resolved by the end of the week.
Still saving up for something bigger...
Resolved the headlight problem, I'm back to beautiful 6000K. The best temperature for HIDs in my opinion.
Next, I'm gonna wire in my fog lights. I just need a soldering iron...
Today, I got a replacement high beam housing from Norberto. So now, I'm waiting for a semi-warm day to get to work and replace that, reroute the sidemarker wires to the fog lights and splice the sidemarkers into the turn signals so they'll blink when the turns blink. While I'm at it, I'll finally be getting around to installing my 7th gen shifter and brass bushings. She'll finally be getting some long-deserved love.
