I was wondering what you were doing without the light bar.... If can block can lose an entire day with a bad alternator - you can live without lights smile.gif

Well here's Ken Block.... in my rear view mirror.

According to that picture, a regular 3rd gen 3S-GE will do the job.

If you're talking about coming out of the turn... when i shifted. It's cause my engine is crappy. Wont rev passed 4k rpms once I beat on the car for about 20 miles. So I have to shift early to keep the car moving.

FYI, got your struts packed up.

I think I've said it before but it bears repeating, truly inspiring build you've got here; to see a 6gc being driven in all rally conditions is fantastic.

Congratulations and good luck in the stages to come.

Raced an entire stage like that.

So I found your thread yesterday, while doing research for a car I am in the beginning of building. About 3 weeks ago I bought a wrecked 94 celica gt for $650 off craigslist. I am planning on setting it up for rally to meet NASA standards. It seems fortuitous that I would find this forum of your build!! Lots of great information! Thanks for posting your progress and project. So far I have stripped the inside of my car, redone some wiring to simplify and maintain road legality! I also just bought tubing and will be starting my roll cage next week. So I am on my way!! My bro and I took the car out the other day and did some thrashing on some rough gravely wet roads and quickly found out the suspension will need to be changed!! I am hoping you could answer a couple questions. I have read through most of your thread and couldnt figure out what suspension setup you are running?? other than hot bits. What weight springs, travel and setup do you recommend. What do you have to say about suspension for this car?? Thanks!!

You just use the springs that come with the hot bits coilovers. There's a 40 step rebound and 30 step compression. 1 being the softest and 30/40 being the hardest. You'd use a softer setup for snow rally, mid-range setup for dirt / gravel / street, and the harder setup for AutoX (autocross). I have just the hot bits rear coils on my car and they are absolutely amazing. The stiffest settings after absolutely crazy; I almost got car sick just driving around town lol The softest settings are still harder than stock, but it's soft for what it is. As for height adjustment, you can lower the car about 2ish inches, but raise it about 4-6 inches (from what would be stock height).

Sounds pretty straight forward!! 4-6 in of lift would be great and they sound pretty adaptable to all conditions!! thanks!! now I need to price them!!

It's $2800 for a set of 4 without the top mounts.

Starting to get moving on the car again this weekend. Just about finished remodeling my kitchen. Broken exhaust and engine troubles from the last race.

So.... if anyone has any exhaust idea's.... or know where to buy parts let me know. Looking for an aftermarket mid/flex pipe. The stock one sucks, really narrows down in the bend. I could build one as I've already built the one thats on there, but I just want to be able to buy an exhaust. I keep destroying them so, i'm tired of having to rebuild.

Installing an electronic fuel pressure gauge to monitor fuel pressure when the engine starts cutting out. We'll see what happens.
