I have been reading, and there are some people spending 20k plus, WOW!!!!
some amazing builds!!!! but yet makes me want to keep mine stock, wait to see some totaled frs's and jump on the deals..... JK... opr maybe not i just done see myself spending that kind of money on a car that i dont race.... In the celica its fun, because i have really not spend that much. but it needed power. I feel the FRS is perfect for my needs now.... -------------------- Learned a lot in 10 years... I hardly log in anymore, last login Today Sept 6 2019, and I was forced just to clarify a post. LOL

as sad as it is, I'm holding off on getting one, waiting for a used one for cheap. I know myself and I wont be able to keep my hands off of it, and spending 25K on a car just to void the warranty and take it apart didnt seem like my best move.
I'm trolling copart and other salvage auctions in hope to grab one for cheap. I have more time than money so I'll patiently wait for it. like this Click ! but not like that lol This post has been edited by Culpable04: Jan 30, 2013 - 8:31 AM -------------------- |

Who in their right mind would pay that much for that? I can think of lots of not totaled cars for that kind of money. What it'd cost to repair it you'd never see that money again.

The GT-86 costs 455 000 NOK here in Norway.
That is almost 85 000 USD! |

I mean like that because of the cheaper price, but also said " not like that " becuase that's beyond repair, but as time goes by we'll see salvage / wreck in fixable condition that will be prime candidates for a modding project. -------------------- |

I see it as a minimal investment, because I don't plan on going all-out on mine like I did with the MR2 - mainly because I'm saving up for a house.
At most all that this car will get between now and when it is paid off is an AVO turbo kit (because I have connections ), and a set of wheels/tires. MAYBE an axleback exhaust like a Greddy SP. For me - that is about $4500 additional, which in the grand scheme of things is not a lot of money. It remains comfortable to DD and just as reliable (god willing!). -------------------- 1991 MR2 - T-tops - Crimson Red - Gen3 3SGTE - Lots of money
