these were the calipers I was going to get. Had a bespoke setup that would match up to the stock GT front and rear rotors.

But when a 2 piece Apexi rotor setup, larger ST205 rear rotors, along with the F/R ST205 calipers came up, i figured that would be a better path to take, since with the other setup id be using the heavier ebc front rotor and stock rear rotor.
So I will be selling my EBC front slotted rotors when I install the new setup

these still are so damn pretty. Im still a little sad I didnt go for them.
The fensport st205 and I believe their ST202 as well has a Tarox BB setup

I got turned onto the company from my friend who got a sponsorship from them for his Z build. They are GREAT looking products

I hope I can get her out in time!

got the last bits in for the exhaust fab.

Cant wait to get home and polish them this weekend
there is a larger gap between the tips than the 1st version, not sure how I like it yet and if I will keep the larger spacing

lets hope it starts!

Tonight I got frustrated with timing the engine so I popped the pistons on all the caliper halves and removed the inner gaskets.
Probably going to drop them off to get PC'd tomorrow

My friend pointed out that the ST205 rear rotors are larger in diameter than the Supra TT front rotors I have.....odd

It really is... I don't have money to toss around, so there's nothing to show off. After the rebuild, I've just been keeping her running. No money for very much else, unfortunately. With my free money, I picked up a really nice '82 Trek 311 and I've been riding that everywhere. The Celi is more of a weekend car/grocery runs now. Not the respect she deserves!!

Just keep her running! Just another thing you wont have to worry about come the time you have the money and time to mod more. (no fun trying to fix leaks and timing when trying to modify)

Not the respect?? You are prolonging her life!!

AH so the rotors are MK4 non-turbo and the calipers (replacement parts) match up with the MK4 tt

I am not sure that when I go to repaint/fill holes on the car if it wouldnt be much more $ to just go ahead and respray the entire body.

I have been tossing around the idea (if it comes down to a full respray) for a while of doing a Frozen Clear coat
like so, opinions?

it's a beautiful finish, I got to see it at the NY autoshow last year and fell in love iwth it. not sure you'd want on a car that will be raced / daily driven as that finish is less forgiving about scratches, you can't really buff it, or wax it as far as I know.

I was near breathless when I saw it for the first time too.

Its easy to maintain....but when scratches and knicks start to appear, yeah, you cant touch it up and buff it. It would need to be resprayed.

I do plan (on whatever route I take) to get a ceramic paint protection coat and possibly even a clear bra

For the most part I will TRY not to to daily drive the car. Only for nice weather days. Other than that it will be under a cover.

As for racing, I do plan on doing it, maybe not this year, and I wont be under as much pressure to race since I wont be under a sponsor contract with Tarox.

Although its advised not to be done. It was nessecary to split the calipers to remove all the seals so I could get them powder coated.

I have been digging around for some info on the size and material of the original o-rings. And I have found that they are dash -109 sized. An appropriate compound for a replacement ( since toyota doesnt have a P/N for them nor does any other resource I have looked into) which would hold up to the temperatures and be resistant to brake fluid is Viton ETP.

I have contacted a couple places on quotes for a square ring and hope to hear back. Im not sure if there is a minumum order, but if this all works out, it would be nice to have a place to grab these for people who want to rebuild their ST205 calipers and not re-use the halve seals

http://www.marcorubber.com/square_rings.htm

thank fate for bringing this to my attention. I should be posting my findings for future generations!!
