I'll probably switch it to red eventually and paint over the blue so it adds layers and makes it easier to remove down the road. |

I hate that i didnt do enough coats on my wheels I peeled most of it off like a month ago. And still have small bit here in there. Looks like a full spray is the way to go. Did you buy the whole kit or you have your own sprayer? still considering doing this one day. -------------------- 6gcHeroes:808hectortimmybatmandiegotigamak |

Very nice!
I like the blue, but I'll admit I'm still partial to my plasti-dip black =P Kit runs about 270 to do the whole car. You can do it with a small car kit, has just enough paint for 5 coats. If you have alot of exterior pieces you may need another gallon for the ones asking. |

Another thing that sucks about cali. It can't be shipped into cali. Yeap Cali is a bad place to live for car enthusiasts.

unrelated, but figured someone could answer. w/o creating a new thread.
What is under the gt4 hood vent (if that makes sense). Like how does the water not end up on the engine, ive never looked too much into it. Want to create my own (not exactly the gt4 style) but I dont get how the rain works. thanks -------------------- |

It looks fantastic in that color! I may end up going the plastidip route as well especially now that I'm seeing more of what our cars look like with it

Hey guys, quick update. Dip is holding up well, someone scratched the passenger door, but I could repair the dip easily enough.
I'm not too happy with the color, its too purple for me, but overall thats just on me for wishing I went with red. I might dip it red in a few months. To anyone trying this.. A few things.. 1. Make sure you put on enough layers, I only did two gallons (have a third gallon that i will put on soon) and it was a bit too thin in places to peel of as easily as I'd like 2. If if looks like an area that is hard to peal off, then make sure its masked off well before dipping 3. Some areas will not peel off apart from each other easily. Especially rubber molding and the car itself like on the wind shield and the hatch. An exacto knife will help.. just something to consider when masking and peeling after wards. |
