How well would this pair up with reground camshafts? Geoff at Colt Cams suggested a cam profile of 256° .330L to work with either N/A or Turbo. Whats your opinion on this?

When I had my turbo setup geoff sugessted a set of staggered cams, to maximize the turbo.
I ended up with a set of regrinds from webcams, the super mild set, and even those made a big diffrence in the higher Rom band, where the 5s needs it most.
Check out my build thread for more details, its the first link in the big turbo sticky.

256 is good enough for both. A little mild for turbo and pretty good for N/A, but would work great.

Has anyone heard of the built head from GUDE Performance? that and then turbo it? he says it adds up to 50hp confused.gif But I think its just like anyone rebuilding the head with better head internals/camshafts and headgasket.

To me it sounds fishy. It sounds like GUDE Performance is trying to overprice something much less expensive if done by yourself.

crap, sorry about that, i thought you had for some reason.
i think its a shame you dont have someone local who could install the kit and get some dyno info for ya, i think that would help sell the kit for sure.
provided the owner dont go crazy with the boost, a 5sfte setup like this can last many years, and be a hell of a lot of fun.
jenn and i both agree that while the 3rd gen swap is definetly a faster, more "reliable" (in the sense that everything is factory made, setup for boost), the 5sfte was more fun to drive around the city, and threw you back in the seat more because of the extra torque.
and the fact that we did it ourselves made it that much more gratifiying.

The problem with these things, everyone wants it, nobodys got the money.

after reading everything, guys, just do it. if you want it, do it, dont be a tight ass.

this looks like a perfect little kit, to get you boosted. it looks to be a Nissan bolt on upgrade of the GT28, you wont get big numbers but you will have alot of fun. the main thing is the torque you will get from 3000-6000 even if you do only end up with 200whp at the top end, you'll still be sh*tloads quicker than a 3sge beams and have way more fun with it

f*ck the dyno plots, we all know you'll be limited by your injectors, cams and your choice of management, that can all come later, its unfair to Jeff to judge his kit based on a plot with sh*tty injectors and cams.

I can assure you all, a GT28 based turbo is enough to push my 3100lb tank with urgency.
