Been wanting to remove ABS on my jdm st205. Anyone done this ? Wanting to clean up my engine bay but just wondering if anyone knows what sort of proportioning valve is needed ? If any ?? Or can you just run brake pipes straight from the master cylinder ??
Any help or advice would be massively appreciated ! |

If you remove the ABS you will fail the MOT.

If you remove the ABS you will fail the MOT. Not necessarily. The tester wouldn't even know it was fitted as standard and now the abs warning light doesn't have to follow a set sequence to pass the mot so what would it fail on ?? Wonder how race and rally cars pass the mot with abs removed?? |

A friend of mine deleted his ABS on his built subaru.
All he did was shorten the brake lines running to the ABS and then T'd them at the firewall (engine was out at the time). He had a diagram found online. Something weird like front right line connected to the rear left line. Obviously, I don't know if this would be the same as a Celica but I can't imagine brake lines being too complicated.. EDIT: Here's the diagram for reference. As I said, it may be similar, may not.. Subaru ABS delete This post has been edited by Malek: Apr 8, 2013 - 3:33 PM -------------------- |
