Contemplating doing the exhaust system on the Celica. Since I'd actually make money from it, cat scraps for more than the cost of the muffler. Though not sure if that'd help anything.

As long as you don't go over the size of 2" you should be ok. -------------------- 1994 Toyota Celica GT-S 5S-FE 190k Miles. Project car 1992 Toyota Celica GT 5S-FE 170k Miles. Was going to remove the secondary cat since it's not monitored and throw in a 30" long 2" Magnapack in its place. That or I'll put on 4" straight pipe and sell it to some dumb ass kids at my nearest import meet. Either way.
OHH, also finally attempting to buy something for the Celica. Replacing the drive side seat belt since mine is chewed up really bad. Should help with selling it, safety and what not. -------------------- 2001 Miata LS 5-speed

Yup, that be it. Figured it's $25 well invested. If I do end up keeping the car it was something I desperately needed. So either way it works out.

So either way it works out. your paint looks good, but those door handles need attention. they sell paint in a can. I spray painted mine black again.... looks brand new.... -------------------- Learned a lot in 10 years... Indeed, they make me sad. I've looked everywhere, but for whatever reason you can't get 3L2 in an aerosol unless you have it mixed up. I wish Duplicolor made my colour, then I'd redo the handles and quarter panel. That's really the only thing letting the car down is those few areas of bad paint. After this listing ends I'm going to wait until I install the new seat belt and take replacement pictures before re-listing. I thought about removing the spoiler, welding the holes and repainting. Would help it to stand out I'd think. Sad I don't start doing this kind of stuff until I'm selling it. Though I'll be honest, the entire time I've kind of been doubting myself on it. I honestly do like the Celica, really. Even if at times it comes across as otherwise. If it had even 150hp it'd make a world of difference to the car. The only way I know to go would be turbo or swap. I thought about doing the 1MZ-FE a million times. I'd have to find a donor car though, and still that doesn't cover everything. I know what I have with my car, I trust it. Not so much on buying another car from a stranger. Who knows...

have u tought about black handles.. Yes I have. But then I'd have to do the mirrors and tag bezel in order to bring it together and make it look like it belongs. Found someone local parting out a 91 GT, going to see about getting the side mirrors. -------------------- 2001 Miata LS 5-speed

Finally got around to fabricating my 2.5" downpipe, used a v-band clamp cuz i had a hard time finding a flange to match up to the header flange. Also replaced valve cover seal, i suspect its the reason i've been losing a slight amount of oil. Wire wheeled the valve cover and painted red.
Also sent an order to Vincent for Seat covers, Ebrake boot and Armrest cover. All black with red stitching. |
