Are you painting the hood and bumper to match, or doing a total respray?

When said about modification I didn't mean the ones made by man. What I said was that it might have modified after being affected by a certain force. |

Found the reminders of a dodgy respray when I took off the mud guard to fit the rear splitters... Apart from the fact that they lost the screw that goes underneath, there is a very visible paint edge that will no longer be hidden under anything
On this note; advice for fitting TRD rear spats... Double sided tape or 2 small self-tapping screws in the holes at the end? (with stock screws in the wheel well of course - the mounting bracket underneath is missing though). I want something that I can remove afterwards whenever I sell the car or go for a different look that doesn't leave any noticeable marks or cause myself too much of a headache. -------------------- SOLD :( 1997 ST204 Celica ZR -----> See it here on 6GC! 2013 October Celica of the Month XD Now: '00 NB8B Mazda MX5 -----> See it here in off topic! |

You could try wet sanding and then buffing and polishing it to try and smooth it out.

That's the hide away antenna True story. Away goes the stock fishing pole, in comes this bad boy. Here's to hoping reception stays comparable. If only I could somehow place a V8 into the Celica... Oh well. Can't believe I didn't remember this before now, but you're in luck, Boxbr0. http://www.6gc.net/forums/index.php?showtopic=82785 On this note; advice for fitting TRD rear spats... The screws underneath the bumper are just that- underneath the bumper. A potential buyer would literally have to look directly at the bottom of the bumper to find any trace of any holes. Being that it's a plastic bumper, it'll never rust or cause any problems, so having the little extra screw won't hurt anything at all. Like I said in our PM's, I went with pop rivets in mine for a slightly more permanent and slimmer solution. -------------------- "Employ your time in improving yourself by other men's writings, so that you shall gain easily what others labored hard for." -Socrates. You could try wet sanding and then buffing and polishing it to try and smooth it out. Yeah, I'm actually more concerned about the new paint chipping away, rather then just the look... But I'll see how it goes. The screws underneath the bumper are just that- underneath the bumper. A potential buyer would literally have to look directly at the bottom of the bumper to find any trace of any holes. Like I said in our PM's, I went with pop rivets in mine for a slightly more permanent and slimmer solution. Our chats are exactly where this plan came from... I just thought the screws would be easier to take out if I needed to, although they will be slightly less clean than yours installed. I actually went out and bought the little screws to do it yesterday, but I just wanted to check some other opinions before I went ahead... I hate drilling into my car BUT... I might have some new pics tonight -------------------- SOLD :( 1997 ST204 Celica ZR -----> See it here on 6GC! 2013 October Celica of the Month XD Now: '00 NB8B Mazda MX5 -----> See it here in off topic! |

But I'll see how it goes. Doing the above will help keep that from happening. -------------------- 2001 Miata LS 5-speed

It was actually yesterday, but I swapped the drivers axle, front superstrut assembly (driver side) and the power steering pump on my GT-Four. All that's left to do is replace my flex pipe and I'm ready to get her on the road finally!

Meh, for most people it's just a car. That's just about any car though. The few other Celicas I have happened to see are rough, makes mine look like a show queen. Yeah my clear is peeling(previous owner's neglect), but I keep the car clean and the paint as nice looking as possible.

Today I bought some interior pieces from a friend and had a go at popping them in.
I didn't reaalise that some parts were different between the facelift / prefacelift so I had to remove EVERYTHING to trial fit them before doing so. Needless to say they got a bit grubby whilst doing so although they'll be getting redone in 040 anyways when I can get my hands on some Also the 3 blanks will be removed and replaced with the coint try which conveniently holds my mobile too so that'll be swapped as well Only a quick pic which is why nothings connected apart from the stereo (Don't wanna tinker in silence do I) |
