Nice looking Celica, dude. I'm sitting here, wondering, what's the weight on these wheels and wheel+tire? Thanks man! I know the OZs are 17ish. But I'm not sure about the tires. -------------------- |

nice bikes! That's an 848 or 1098 in front..I can't really tell..and the others I think are ducatis but I can't really tell. I LOVE ducati valve design..and everything else about ducati's really except for the dry clutches.

Thanks! That white one is an 848evo, followed by the Monster 696 and then the Multistrada. There's a white Honda NSR behind that huge MS, too haha
My whole family is full of gear heads. My 748 is in the conference room and we just stripped an 1198s this past week The dry clutch is one of my favorite features! Among the trellis frame, SSS, desmodromic valve design..which gives the beautiful voice of a Ducati.. Wow..didn't take much for me to get off topic haha I have another forum and build threads for the 2 wheelers! This post has been edited by Malek: May 5, 2013 - 12:13 AM -------------------- |

Wow..didn't take much for me to get off topic haha I have another forum and build threads for the 2 wheelers! what is the difference in the 848evo and the regular 848 besides the noticeable red rims ? And the dry clutch is great for power, I like that aspect of it, but traffic is a MAJOR concern here, especially since we can't split lane. There are always motorcycle cops doing it and they will be quick to pull us over if we did, so that means we sit in 5 mph traffic for 30 - 45 minutes and either burn up the clutch or speed up, stop, speed up, stop, speed up, stop... but yeah, desmodromic always gets my heart beating. Absolutely incredible design that I wish was incorporated into more than just ducs. Great performance across all RPMs and no valve float, just more adjustments more often, which I would have no problem with. -------------------- -Jay

The EVO has small engine changes like larger TBs and valves and taller cams. Revised piston crown (because of the valves). And of course the dope color schemes haha On the street, there isn't that much of a difference.
No traffic issue here I even have an open clutch cover to make it ring! -------------------- |

Took the engine out to put on new fenders? I was actually just changing the oil..then my wrench slipped and the engine jumped out. Figured I'd make good use of it and change the fenders while everything was out Update: -GT4 shifter cables in -GT4 fenders -3S out and awaiting clutch disk to mate back up with the AWD trans -Said clutch disk is expected to arrive tomorrow -Received fuel cell -Received my seat heaters lol -------------------- |

I hate to ask the painful questions, but is there any particular ETA on the AWD swap?

haha nice! seat heaters are going to be the best part of this project! For sure! I have no heat at all since I had to bypass the heater core! I did it in my last Celica. So worth it. Not to mention, my new seat covers should be here soon from vincent. I hate to ask the painful questions, but is there any particular ETA on the AWD swap? As far as a set date, unfortunately, I don't. Since it's not my daily, I'm not crunching hardcore for time. I'll be completely gone from 29 May to 26 June so I don't think it will be done during that time. I doubt it will be done before then but I'm just going one step at a time. Though, it will be done by summers end. Let's say NLT 23 August. -------------------- |

After a bit of wrestling, mild cursing, and multiple sanity checks, I have successfully re-mated the 3S to the E154.
-Brand new Clutchmasters FX350 disk and throwout bearing (I will not f***ing give them anymore business, ever. Awful customer service) Tomorrow: -Drop new assembly back into the engine bay -Start on rear end work Sidenote: My UPS delivery guy, Dustin, is the man. I left a note for him at the shop where I knew my clutch would be delivered. He called me up and said he'd swing by my house later and drop it off for me. He knew where I lived because he's seen my car parked in the driveway a few times. He's got a built WRX hahaha Anyways, carry on... -------------------- |

Guess I should update this before I leave next week!
Since my last post: -Engine and AWD trans are in -GT4 brake calipers drilled and mounts tapped ~Waiting on my GT4 disks and ss braided lines to come in -GT gas tank dropped and out of the way ~Made a custom -8an adapter to fit the stock fuel line I haven't been working on it too much. I've been busy with my summer field session. Designing and building a small scale race car Unfortunately, I don't foresee much else happening before I leave to field training.. -------------------- |

Alright! Let's update.
After coming back from FT, I found out that the guys at Metro Performance (who build full-on race cars) don't want to take on the challenge. Oh well.. Instead, I'll be designing my own mounts for the project. It'll get there..eventually -------------------- |
