Hey guys I’m creating a new thread over in the “My Project” section as it seems more fitting now..

3s swap..
http://www.6gc.net/forums/index.php?showtopic=75890

The car has kind of been ghost for a while, haven’t posted much of the recent work/progress I’ve done over the past year. I’ve been picking away at it between work and school.. so there will be lots of various pics!

November 2012-

Earlier in the year, July 2012 I had most of the body work done when my Comp clutch spit out a spring on me and I didn’t touch the car until November.. pics of the clutch

I then replaced the clutch with a Clutchmasters 6puck unsprung setup..

At this point I haven’t driven the car daily since Oct. 2011 I just put the car in sealer so I could drive it around a bit before winter hit..

Slapped on the GTS wheels and put her on the road

Then a short while later had the same issue that Jesse had with a snapped disk hub.. didn’t actually drop the tranny until March 2013

March 2013-

Scrapped the crap out of the Flywheel too

Did some homework and made a few phone calls and placed an order to Southbend and picked up a 8puck sprung setup with a F1 lightweight Flywheel.. the guys at Southbend were GREAT to work with, highly recommend them, John over in imports was very helpful in creating this setup..

^^ The springs are incased very well and were rubber coated for what I’m told a longer life span and easier ingagement..

Spring April/May 2013

Rolled the front and rear fenders with hammer and dolly, came out really well with no fender warp like some rollers can do.. also did some more fine tuning with getting the ss3 kit mounted, making sure they all fit properly (don’t mind the tape lol)

I chose not to drill holes in the body incase I wanted to take the skirts off at some point, will be using double sided tape but do have holes drilled underneath to support the bottom of the skirts.

And that’s where she is as of right now.. this past weekend I finished up the Hiro rears and fiber glasses the mounting studs in and primed them up.. looking to start wet sanding either this week or next with 500 grit and shoot some color on her, pretty pumped!

Thanks man! Im going to paint it the same Ford Mustang charcoal grey metallic I had before, painted code TC. I've always loved the color and I think it looks really good on the round body like the celica. Its gives it a clean look without being to flashy.

Thanks for the comments guys!

Haha ya cheela getting away from it a little bit but it will still be clean and respectable.. Not to many fast celicas roaming around so it still has a little bit of a sleeper status to it I guess haha.

I would love to get my hands on a set of BC or megan coils sitting on some XXr 527s with a little poke and stretch.. But the gts wheels will work for now smile.gif

Hey guys, I hooked up and purged my Devils Own kit the other day was excited to see that everything worked well!

I still need to tap the nozzle into the IC piping but I'm going to tap it once I replace my VC gasket, instead of taking the pipe off twice. Wanted to purge the lines first to clean out anything in the line.

I'll post pics once I tap the nozzle.

I never appreciated before how nice that clutch looks, the rubber-coated springs are a fantastic touch. I'm surprised you painted it again, but the color looks nice (again!).

That clutch has a great feel to it, it almost feels stock by with durability.

Haha I know, the previous paint job still looked good but had a few things here and there that I wanted to redo and clean up.. I shaved the antenna and side markers this time too. Thanks for the comments guys I'll post more pics later tonight possibly!

Hey guys have a quick update on the Coupe, got everything all painted this past week and sitting to cure. Once the car and parts cure I can start to wet sand and buff the car. I left the car outside all day to sit in the sun (it was painted last Wednesday) to see what the color looked like in different sun light angles as the day went on and looked better then I remembered.

it's getting close can't wait to button it up soon!
