Questions about the ebc greenstuff. Do they work ok when it's cold? How is wear and is the dust bad?

yeah they work very well in cold weather. I stand by all of EBC's products.
The wear is very low, they last a very long time. I had Green stuff in the rears for the past 3 years, the only issue I had was when my caliper seized up and burned up the pads.

get em, its worth the $

Mr2 turbo calipers in the front. They are dual piston and make the braking feel alot more even / balanced. You can get reman ones at AutoZone or advanced auto. They bolt right onto the gt caliper brackets

If you're planning to upgrade calipers just get Avalon or Lexus ls300 calipers they are dual piston with a much larger over all diameter and much cheaper than mr2 calipers I got some from the junk yard 27 bucks bolted right into my car used my Celica brackets and pads just purchased the calipers

I got mine pretty cheap, but I like mine and they do their job.

If this car will not see a track you dont need bigger calipars lol
Get some decent pads!
Machine or get some plain rotors. No you dont need slotted. No you dont need drilled or dimpled. As you mentioned you will not see a track. You will be wasting your money.

What else you should do is bleed the brakes as well.

As well if this car will not see a track dont go and spend more money on race pads. Race pads have optimal working tempertures. You need to heat them up before they they bite well.

Do you research.

i think it's wise to get the avalon/es300 twin piston calipers because at this day n time all of our 6gc have 150,000 miles plus on the chassis. so why not upgrade to them by buying the rebuilt versions from online.

I think I'm just going to replace rotors and get some nice pads.Not sure if I want to go with ebc pads though. I've heard good things and bad things.

I am coming to this late... but the best upgrade you can probably do is pads and SS lines.
