Hey guys, just a quick question smile.gif

I found a TRD spoiler locally (Well, it's in this country anyway tongue.gif). The seller doesn't seem to know too much about them, and I was just wondering if there were any markings that I could ask her to check for? Or any other tips to check that it is a genuine one not a rip off? She seems pretty sure that it is plastic not fibreglass, and I'm getting it with TRD skirts which are genuine too, so I have a good feeling about it. I had a bit of a search around the site and after getting sucked into reading through TRDGT4's progress thread after seeing a pic in the search results all I came up with was there were some eBay 'style' ones but they can be spotted from a distance visually.

Getting both for $250 + postage (~$100) so pretty good wink.gif

Also, there are no tricks I need to tell her for taking it apart for shipping?

Thank you smile.gif

It should have some part numbers on it, and probably has "TOYOTA" on it somewhere if it is an OEM part.

It's a good read, I also managed to buy my TRD spoiler cheap as the owner didn't realise what they actually had. Can't remember seeing any part numbers on mine.

things to look out for, has all 4 mounting bolts to mount to the hatch. the covers and 2 clips per side (if you don't have them all, you'll notice they are the same as the ones in your door wink.gif ) you have the square washer with different holes to allow the wing adjustment.

can be safely dismantled down to the wing itself and 2 sides.

If you want, pm me some pictures so I can have a look, I'm not in need of a second one smile.gif

Thanks guys, I will check that out... and your spoiler is what inspired me Rusty smile.gif

I will send you a couple of pics as soon as I get them... I haven't actually seen any yet!

And I got in touch with the person who bought my spare set of 7GC wheels off me since he has a skirt-less 6GC and he is buying the skirts off me for $250 smile.gif (I don't want to paint them tongue.gif)

There is also a difference in me wanting them, and actually getting them. Hahahaha
There's a set on Gumtree for $150 than postage.
I'm not too fussed atm, I think I'd want other front and rears to match than.

If I had solid plans to update the front and rear to suit the TRD skirts better, I'd be all over it. But not atm. Don't sure what to do anymore haha.

Did you find out if the spoiler is genuine?

Edit:
rolleyes.gif now you got me searching. $820 for new skirts, front and rear lips. Urgh. Haha

Timmeh my man, you know what's great about things that are perfect? I'll tell you... they're perfect tongue.gif So quit playin' with your skirts and start planning some power instead tongue.gif

Seriously though, the SSIII kit looks great, I don't think you would be really gaining anything going full TRD smile.gif

And I am being sent pics tomorrow apparently smile.gif

This guy speaks the truth Timmy, Your 6 is the inspiration for what I wanted to do with mine

It's genuinely one of my favorite 6's I've ever seen and I would even go so far as to say the best one on this forum lookswise at the very least biggrin.gif
