For a street use car, go for Megan's. I have Megan's on for a couple months now and they're awesome. It can slam your car all the way down or bring it back up to stock height. The dampering can be adjusted also to stock soft or to sporty stiff(its so stiff that I felt like I had back pains from feeling every lil crack on the road. Lol).

In order from least to most expensiv:

Megan Racing.
Ksport.
BC Racing (similar to Ksport price)
D2.
Tanabe.
Tein.
TRD.

You can get basic versions of coilovers from all these companies but most also make multiple different race oriented ones. Probably not what you are looking for though.

I think this is a new line of coilovers, as I've just recently started hearing more about the EZ series ffarily frequently.

Man. I would've got the ex instead since I dont track my car. Lol. EZ is cheap and seems to be good for street use. It has 15 levels of dampering instead of 32 like the racing series

That is a new series they've come out geared more towards street use. The spring rate is a good bit softer than the racing set, 6/4 kg vs 10/8 kg.

What would people think about these new Megan's vs second hand Tein / C-One / TRD coilovers?

Well TRD and C-one are both discontinued as far as i know, so good luck when they need a rebuild.
I've also heard that tien is fairly expensive to rebuild compared to other coilover manufacturers.

something to keep in mind when buying used.

If you want to be mad JDM you better get some used JDM coil-overs. I want to say you can still get new Tein and Tanabe sets for our cars though.

Other parts, yes. suspension isnt bad, simply because slamming cars is part of the scene right now, so coilovers are avaible for lots of cars.

Tein still makes new kits for our car though, yes.

I like my D2's. Replacement struts are pretty inexpensive and easily obtainable as well.

Definitely pass on those. Never buy coilover sleeves. that's an easy way to blow your shocks and ride like a Honda. Lol.

tein jp have discontinued their super street series, they have a new series, but only for the ST205.

cant comment on price for rebuild as mine are new 'ish, but we have a tein reseller/service shop here in NZ that rebuilds them, and I cant see parts being an issue for rebuilding them yet.

TRD coilovers are being rebuilt with bilstein parts.

how about looking into fortune auto, I'm not 100% sure they do ST202/4 yet. They are a very good coilover system, and have great digressive valving in them.
