There's a thread in the stickies. You actually use the stock speakers and cut the "speaker" part out.

I bought an adapter on eBay last September, but I can't find any on there now. After a quick Google search, I'm pretty sure they're identical to these. In fact, those might be the exact ones that I bought. They fit nearly flawlessly, with the one caveat being that the added 1/4" thickness causes the heads of the screws holding the adapter plate to the enclosure in the door to contact the ring around the speaker grille on the back of the door card. It's possible that the entire width of the plate would cause a clearance issue even without the screws. It doesn't bother me too much though.

just take out your old speaker gold color and cut out the speaker basically using it as an adapter or if you want you can buy another junk set or blown set from another member. That's what I did, I cut out the old worn OEM speaker and painted it black. Then used it as an adapter to use more clarity 6.5 speakers. just got tired of bass.

Another option is Camry speaker boxes. They line up with only two holes but they're 6.5" and pretty much idiot proof. I used ones from a 1995 LE 2.2.

Look for marine audio instead of car audio. Plenty of 8" marine speakers. smile.gif

There`s a few. Look for 210mm, they seem to be more commonly listed in metric. Check madisound.com. I`m personally running a set of Focal eight-inch woofers, great full range with adequate but not overpowering bass.
