Btw, what does everybody think of windows up vs windows down for photo shoots? I used to think always do windows up but the photo shoot that my photo on the previous page came out of was all done with the windows down and I like them too

The sunroof definitely looks best on tilt for photo shoots though.

Tigawoods... you and your photoshop... You made me take my camera and play bit different way than usual . Here is the result:

Looks good but you should make the battery dark. Eyes are drawn to it vs everything else.

+1 The bright yellow contrasts too much with the rest of the engine bay, and it catches your eye too much... Darken/change the colour of the battery and this would be perfect

That is exactly why I do this just for hobby . I like contrast and what is for someone disturbing is for me refreshing. Anyway. I took off 67% of that battery saturation and not sure at all. It is big area and always will be...



Only color change can take it completely "non eye catching"...



I do not know... but maybe really "blue edition" is the best when comparing previous options . I played with the same idea also on some other picture:



Here (since MALPASO plate on yellow is used) I do not see that battery that "eye catchy" (but I may be mistaken )

Doubt it's good enough to get in, but been so busy doing work and stuff I haven't had a chance to take a good photo

You still have heaps of time to get some good ones

Some tips (IMHO):

Nobody is going to hang your P-Plate on their wall... plan out when you are going to take your pictures and remove those sorts of distractions.

Angle - You don't really have anything to show off under your car... perhaps a slightly higher angle will be more flattering (And more discerning lighting).

Location and Lighting - Although quite simple with the lighting used there are a few elements of the location that have become distracting like the signpost / IGA sign / gutter etc. And the lighting under the car brings up a few imperfections and has blown out a couple of highlights.

Its a cool shot - but calendar pics require a lot more planning

My immediate area is terrible for photography... Might be good down around Cronulla or something, but at night there is hardly any light anywhere since half the street lights are always out
