I am epoxying mine, we can compare which method works better That was my plan.... but I am lazy and want my dad to help and he said to just get the fibreglass so I did I think he is worried that they need to support huge loads or something, because the way he is talking I think we are going to end up with them being many times stronger than they were stock -------------------- SOLD :( 1997 ST204 Celica ZR -----> See it here on 6GC! 2013 October Celica of the Month XD Now: '00 NB8B Mazda MX5 -----> See it here in off topic! |

I tightened the screw on the rear view mirror, kept flopping around. Not so much anymore. Also I learned you can rotate the mirror to where it's facing out the windshield. Guess what's getting flipped around the next time some dick with their HID's in reflector housings comes by? I bought my celica with the rear view mirror flopping around like no tomorrow. Never checked how to tighten it but maybe I will tomorrow. Lol. There's just a screw on the backside of the mirror, tighten it and it's all good again. -------------------- 2001 Miata LS 5-speed

If your headlights are suffering from constant force I think you have other issues at hand.

If your headlights are suffering from constant force I think you have other issues at hand. There will always be some form of force on the tabs... If they are broken once; then the weakness will still be there... I am reinforcing mine with some metal washers to prevent it breaking again >.< -------------------- ------------------------------| White '94 Celica | Bought 11/05/12 | Sold 12/05/15 |------------------------------ |

The issue is people not knowing how to ship, that or idiots thinking they've removed all of the bolts and trying to remove them. The force they experience on the car is minimal, unless you have giant angry plecostomus attacking them or wreck it.

today I ordered tein s tech lowering springs for my car. Yay And yeah, they aren't under much load... I would probably just used some 5 minute Araldite or something to stick them back on long enough just to take off the bumper personally And Today I... had to wash this... was much worse than it looks... and mud was caked under all the side skirts etc. -------------------- SOLD :( 1997 ST204 Celica ZR -----> See it here on 6GC! 2013 October Celica of the Month XD Now: '00 NB8B Mazda MX5 -----> See it here in off topic! |

Step in the right direction. Speaking of such I slightly broke traction yesterday while taking a 90º turn, it was just enough for the tires to make an ever so delightful slight squeal. The car was still totally controllable even with breaking traction. This is the part where you expect me to say, "It all just clicked on what the car is about." That's where you'd be wrong. Just kidding, sorta. The more I've driven it spiritedly, in my own cautious manner, the more I've come to appreciate the car's merits. If only it had more oomph, though I keep contemplating the possibility of redoing the exhaust in hopes of somewhat remedying it. I don't see how it'd really help though aside from maybe improving gas mileage somewhat.

You only just "slightly broke traction".... you need a 1MZ and some more fun Even a GT would be quite sufficient I tried some lift off oversteer the other night in the rain at midnight when I was far too tired... I followed the perfect racing line through the roundabout, only I took my exit backwards -------------------- SOLD :( 1997 ST204 Celica ZR -----> See it here on 6GC! 2013 October Celica of the Month XD Now: '00 NB8B Mazda MX5 -----> See it here in off topic! |

I followed the perfect racing line through the roundabout, only I took my exit backwards It was a zero throttle turn in and broke traction, wouldn't matter what was powering it. I really don't see the point in the GT, it's only about a second faster to 60 and loses 5+ mpg. The only good thing about the GT is that it's more swap friendly. The 1MZ would make it ideal, but it doesn't solve the car being red. I really hate red. If the car was black, grey, teal, or blue I'd be more keen about it. Really wish it were black, then I could paint it whatever colour I want. -------------------- 2001 Miata LS 5-speed
